I will always praise British 999 operators Im from Canada and only wish our operators were this kind, they treat us when we call them like we’re the problem.

It's the same in France, you feel like you're actually disturbing them.

When we had to call the ambulance for myself, the ambulance driver was so mad at me because I’m a type one diabetic and I had been down in Seattle because we live near Vancouver BC and when we got home, I all of a sudden was really really sick and I was having trouble with my blood sugars being low And he said he was getting fed up looking after diabetics that can’t look after themselves (He mentioned that his parents were both diabetics, and whenever he goes to visit them, one of them is almost passed out because of their blood sugar is being low and he said even with them he’s getting fed up with them, not looking after their diabetes.) and he wasn’t the only one the doctor in the ER wouldn’t give me an IV to help me out and she said to me she’s fed up with diabetics that can’t look after themselves. Finally, a nurse came in and she put in the line for an IV, but didn’t start one because I guess the doctor has to order it. I never saw that doctor again that night, but I did get a doctor that said that when he looked at my blood work, I had caught a virus that just hit me like a train and he says that’s why I was so sick. It had nothing to do with my diabetes which I knew. To be told off by the ambulance driver, and then the doctor I thought was the rudest thing that I had ever been through. I complained about it, but I never heard anything about it again.

What do these folks get paid $15.00 an hour? Doctors at the NHS GET $15.00 an hour.

@ I watched a documentary on KZbin that showed doctors were getting paid like $14 an hour that was before their strike last year. I believe it was.
