Um actually, in Terran (the language of Earth elementals, which all gargoyles speak), "LUKEJAK" is a common battle cry, often used before sieges. It roughly translates to "I will tear down your walls." It's the sort of thing that Matt would know. I suspect that the gargoyles were content to keep things chill and just keep an eye on the camp until that was shouted out loud.
