A lot of these guys are former service that are retired(stoker included). They put in their dirty work for years. Also, a lot depends on their regular day to day. I kinda get where you’re coming from expecting the folks training this to look rugged. My 2 cents

You can’t live your life listening to the Two Weeks to Doomsday prophets, but just because we haven’t experienced large scale enduring catastrophe in our lifetime doesn’t mean it can’t happen. A number of people in the know have pointed out the vulnerabilities of our electrical grid, and if things would ever go kinetic with China we’re going to see supply chain issues like most never dreamed of. Those who are prepared will be sitting good, but the rest of the country will lose their ever loving minds. The only reason people didn’t take to the streets during COVID (which by all objective standards wasn’t worse than the flu) was because they had internet and grub hub. Take their food and 24/7 entertainment and they’ll be knifing each other in the streets in 3 days. Prepare for the worst, hope for the best, and above all trust your loving Creator.

When I was a little boy my mother used to tell us, make sure when you go out you have clean underwear on. I use to get a kick out of some of the things she would say as I got older. Not until I became a firefighter / paramedic and had to cut patients clothing off in the middle of the street did it don on me, maybe mom was right after all. I can assure you when shtf happens many people will need to change them drawer's, many times.

How do you scale the SHTF's in life ? There is a lot of shtf situations in a 72 hour period may 25th I loss my transportation and part of my house in a storm and 72 hours later my wife passed away not related to the storm that will turn your life upside down

The graph for population and resources are exponential in opposite directions. What is certain. There will be a world wide food shortage very soon. The Earth can not support 8 billion people even if they all could fit in Texas, But that is the only way the Earth can support 8 billion is if everybody lived in Texas and we left the rest of the Earth alone. But We are not doing that we are rapping the Earth dry and mass immigrating into whats left of our natural Oasis's. 70 percent of the quantity of animals are gone since the 70's. You need to look at the Earth from above. The math the science, and logic all says. boom. There are no birds in China and few wild animals with its 1 billion people. India too. States is half way there in one century. People who can not see the path we are on and the future it will bring are the deniers.
