I stand by this. I use Focus Blast when I really, really have to but even when the pokemon I'm using it is running it, I play very purposefully to avoid putting myself in the position where it needs to hit unless I absolutely must.

This was a really great replay analysis, the sprinkling of bad decisions is what we're all trying to overcome, especially in a tournament setting like this. It's always in real time to hear someone go over what you could've done better when you couldn't see it yourself the first time, or during the time of the actual matches :D

I like the third team more but i feel like the teams dont have great type synergy and were missing some key resists (ie the second teams only real dark resist was great tusk in a tier with Darkrai, Meow, and Kingambit). Id encourage you to think of making sure your mons cover each others weaknesses more instead of individually strong mons.

Yes certainly some teams in this video were less than optimal-- it's often difficult to find many solid teams to bring to tournaments since you need to bring 3 different ones each week and often replays are public so you need NEW teams each week. That being said you are correct, the teams were not ideal.

@@rileydurfee4403 Oh they certainly don't HAVE to be different-- but typically posting replays in your winpost is required. This means your opponent will be able to see your previous teams, and therefore bringing the same teams multiple weeks in a row will often put you at a disadvantage.

@@rileydurfee4403 The tournament scene is for everyone! There are plenty of people in tournaments who've never been in the 1500s. There are also lots that are very serious, so you may get out in round 1 sometimes but other times you'll have more favorable brackets and you can make a decent run!

This team has a lot of good stuff! I'm overall very impressed! Raging Bolt is a bit scary but seems manageable. The main threat to your team is Meowscarada, it could pretty much destroy you, especially on a hazard stack team. Given that you have two fire resists in Rotom Wash and Garganacl, perhaps consider making Heatran Flame Body to punish Meowscarada! :D

I have a question. What pokemon do you think deserve a mega evolution in legends ZA? What other megas do you think would do well in the current metagame (since the pokemon company doesnt seem to make significant changes in this year)? Do you think some broken megas back like mega lucario would end up being OU?

I think Lucario would still be ubers given how well it matches up against common top tiers, but it's certainly possible. I'd say Mega ZardY stocks would be up bigtime due to all the protosynthesis pokemon. As for who deserves a mega in ZA, definitely my boy Electivire needs a Mega. Victreebel Mega would be sick as well.

Now that Hypnosis is gone, Darkrai is balanced in OU. Usable and solid pokemon absolutely.

@@iantaakalla8180 It was well done by the council. A move like Hypnosis is broken and completely insane if not for being limited by accuracy... but this is quite uncompetitive. If it hits, it is broken, if not, it's quite poor. Removing this made the game better I'd say.
