Masterful work! I'm very glad to see that the team can hold itself together even after making some mistakes. Tera fire on Meow to prevent will-o-wisp and be free to knock off stuff like Moltres is smart, definitely more useful than the tera powered sucker punches I was going for. Glory to Sylveon!

@pinkacross2042 the crit at the end that sealed it. But it's not a bad thing, that only won the battle because your play created a situation where the crit would win you the fight.

​@@brandonedwards6119 In this case it didn't matter since Rillaboom couldn't beat Slowking 1v1. Without a crit, Gambit still dies from recoil after 2 attacks so it wouldn't survive Garchomp. If the Rillaboom had enough coverage there was a chance to lose without crit

@@brandonedwards6119 The crit (maybe) made things slightly easier, but the endgame was sealed either way. If I didn't crit, Rocky Helmet + Rough Skin and the non-crit EQ would bring the Kingambit down to 16%. Even with Leftovers, it would die to a follow-up attack. That means I could simply use Dragon Tail at that point, chipping the Rilla and establishing an early grassy terrain if it entered, and if the Kingambit attacked it would die (and make the endgame actually easier for me since I could Ice Beam with Slowking instead of going for the weaker Dragon Tail against Rilla, as we saw in the actual game). Basically, the crit kinda helped since I no longer needed to hit a Dragon Tail or two, but it very likely wouldn't have changed the outcome of the game which is why I didn't comment on it during the battle. That's assuming the Kingambit was Leftovers-- if it wasn't, I just clicked Spike after getting hit by Kowtow and the endgame actually would have been way easier.

Pinkacross, thoughts on tera getting banned in natdex? Did you ever try to get reqs for the suspect? Personally, I love the new meta except for maybe pult. And balance is actually viable now which is awesome.

Do you think you'll be making more natdex content in light of the tera ban? it feels very fresh not only because of the mechanic being gone, but many mons dropped back down and are much more manageable with tera gone. in particular i have been loving terapagos, who feels like a swiss army knife of a pokemon. edit: i am Foolish and did not scroll down to the comments asking a similar thing. my apologies.

Pink, would you be ok with seeing Baton pass being legal but only in movesets without boosting moves or Paradox ‘mons.

I feel like the banning of certain mechanics like sleep and boost passing with baton pass limits the meta in a negative way. They want the meta centralized around hazard setting, which would be punished by these banned mechanics. Other mechanics would make for a more diverse and interesting meta game instead of the current state of prioritizing setting or removing hazards.

@@pinkacross2042 the Paradox guys all have Booster energy/ Quark Drive/Protosynthesis to boost their stats. Could easily see someone switch into their Paradox ‘mon in the sun/e.terrain and send that boost onto another ‘mon with baton pass.

Araquanid runs Special Attack investment because it's fully invested Surf OHKOs Tusk but fully invested Liquidation is a roll. Araquanid also wants a Bug move so it isn't a dud into Ogerpon, and since it's SpA invested the move of choice is Bug Buzz

Meow and Ace do very different things. I think Ace is a better pokemon overall, but I also think Great Tusk is a better pokemon than Alomomola, but I still use 'em both.

@@Azulblxdephys def but it doesnt rly matter all too much in damage the diff is ish 7% max but on a bulky mon that doesnt really care about damaging things consitently that it doesnt already 2 ko is kinda irreleavent .Basically sylveon just does well into some matchups thatd be rough for alo and the benefits of alo doesnt really make up for it
