During my first two fights (which happened a few minutes appart in a tournament) I noticed I used only maybe 20% of what I usually do in sparring. I almost forgot I could kick and knee. I get so frustrated watching myself ^^ Also I was very surprised by the difference of intensity between a hard sparring and an actual fight.

@@gamesidowner2 Yes you get more comfortable in the ring. You need to spar more as that's the closet you'll get to an actual fight without fighting, and do it lightly too cause CTE isn't fun. The reason some guys look so fluid and chill in the cage or ring is because they're used to it. Sure they're nerves and adrenaline is soaring but you always fall back in training when that happens. It could also be the case that they literally lack the muscle memory required to do certain things as consciously thinking of what to do in a fight is hard, most just go off instinct.

@@gabago0l nah, hard to the body light to the head with a good-high pace. Some people I spar always throw full force spinning back kicks to the body which is fine, but the spinning backhands and overhands they throw have too much force so I'd rather dodge them than block and if I don't feel like I have the ability to read and accurately evade on that day, I won't spar them, it's best to know who your sparring aswell as their pace and force, to know that your ready on that day to spar them, lest you get unecessarily hurt. High pace w/medium-high force is the best training for fights, but you need to spar highly technical people to do that without getting hurt, unless your good enough to essentially fight without getting significantly hit.

Sharp is the word in my book, and mastery of technique. Would be interesting to see that step by step between different levels of fighters.

Round 3 Tallie has a natural hands down and club swinging arm style so he should definitely practice LOTS of shoulder roll deflect into power counter, then clinch and knee seeing as hes so tall.

Hey man love your video much respect. So how is muay tai scored specifically in one championship? I keep watching fights that are clearly I have a winner yet the judges always give it to the other guy in some instances and I honestly can’t figure out why. Then I comment and some muay tai “expert” tell me I don’t know what I’m looking at. So maybe Get an expert opinion on what is scored and why. How much each is worth. I personally always thought that pressure, kicks, punches, sweeps, elbows, damage, and dumps we’re all either counted or counted as superiority in the ring in the very least. Is that correct? I’m really not one to conclude this but I really have no other option if I’m right. One favors certain gyms, masters, and seat seller that have action packed fights if they are Asian. Seems everyone else has to clearly dominate to get the win. Almost like k1 from my experience of watching the judges except a bit more crooked as they would atleast allow a sudden death round when a clear winner was had that they didn’t want but one seems to just rule immediately. Happened in woman’s and mens last few years or so. Happened last night with a woman’s fight I watched. Maybe you can clear this up although somewhat controversial my apologies.
