The BuKu is highly under rated. Carry's great in the pocket and takes one wicked edge. It's also super smooth. You would think it was riding on IKBS bearings.

+Neyan Liang Benchmade showed the same knife like 15 times. All they have is the Axis lock. Everything is being raised in price and they do nothing different. At least spyderco does some different designs.

+Uspatriot96 sorry for misleading, i was talking about the sales representatives, the passion they showed during the presentation.. and the way they try to arouse interest for the viewers. I am still a newbie to knives, the place where i live is not easy to get so many diff brands of these good products (no need to mention the price..😞). Used to like Spyderco but the video with Eric alone in another channel really disappointed...i wonder if he ever like his company's products.

Neyan Liang If you have ever seen other videos or look up the shop tour of Spyderco you will see the passion the family has for knives. I love their knives. You have to realize that he may not be the best salesman because he by trade designs knives and runs the business. A lot of the guys you see in the videos are professional marketing employees and now how to talk. Eric loves his companies knives and Spyderco.

I really like a lot of CRKT's folder designs. They are unique and fresh. However, it upsets me that pretty much all of them are 8Cr13Mov steel.. Until they begin to work with a bit higher end steels, they won't be very competitive in the folders segment. Aside from the let downs, i'm very stoked for that minimalist. Any hints or clues as to when it's hitting the shelves?

Some of these knives look interesting but my one Ckrt from many years ago found its way into the washing machine. The one knife completely disassembled down to the last screw. I tossed it and never bought another. That was probably 19 years ago and I'm sure things have changed.

CRKT was great when I first got into knives, but they should really take Cold Steel's cue and upgrade their blade steels. They get all these amazing designers on board and then release cool designs with steels that were getting old 10 years ago.

Maybe Shot Show 2017 will announce that CRKT won't outsource the production of all of their great designs... that'd be fantastic. CRKT is my favorite knife company that I haven't bought from, but I guess Idaho has enough knife companies producing their own stuff. Kudos though on amazing designs, I especially like stuff from Ken Onion and Liong Mah. On the plus side, unlike other companies that outsource, CRKT passes the savings to the consumer rather than just inflating profit margins *cough* Cold Steel *cough*.

What is it with those Glass-reinforced sheaths? All they do is dull the blade and I never felt they have any advantage over Kydex. Please. Stop this and use Kydex. I hate that I have to resheath so many knives.

Going in Heavy? A heavy duty knife with a liner lock, I think someone needs a refresher on what heavy duty means. Liner locks are bottom of the barrel when it comes to lock strength, why anyone would put them on a supposed "heavy duty" knife is beyond comprehension. Oh, I forgot-it's because liner locks are dirt cheap. I did love the veteran series though, a good cause and some very nice designs.

I hated 8cr before I got a few CRKT's and couldn't believe how well they held an edge. They must get their steel from a good source.

I don't have a super issue with 8cr, it's cheap, and easy to bring back to sharp (although I would argue that the edge-holding isn't that great). What I take issue with on CRKT knives is how expensive they are for those materials. 8crMov13 is a bottom-rung Chinese steel. A knife with a blade in 8cr shouldn't ever cost more than like, $30. Kershaw has a bottomless pit of 8cr knives around that price point. CRKT however, likes to charge much more, and I just don't agree with that. A knife, at the end of the day, needs to be able to cut, and hold up to use (note I didn't say abuse). I have never used an 8cr knife that was able to slice up three or four boxes worth of cardboard and still be usable. I HAVE, however, used plenty of S30v, D2, and up knives that could slice up a bunch of boxes, and still shave hair off my arm. Edge retention is what you get in better steels. In any case, I haven't purchased a CRKT knives in years, and that doesn't look like it'll be changing anytime soon.
