Thank you! I am true newbie in rally games and setting up a car is crucial for making top leaderboard times. I know i have speed to get top times like i did in wrc gen (top 20 in different stages, afther the game was out about 8 months). Never had expierence setting up a car in Dirt 2.0 or EA WRC. I respect the knowlege, depth and great explanation you bring on the table!

Fantastic video! Previously I just copied setups from another KZbinr but now I have a much better idea how diff, damper and spring setting affect handling. This is my experience of applying your advice to the Ford Fiesta Rally3 and test driving on Coatia. I set the diff preload to zero and that really helped the car 'glide' round sharp corners nicely when off-throttle. Setting the ride height low, and firming up the anti-roll bars and slow bump dampers helped stablise the car to an extent. But even with this I found the rear would still kick-out when corning sharply, leading to loss of traction and spinning out. While I could avoid this by driving more smoothly and avoiding harsh steering, I kept playing with tuning to see if I could rememdy this issue. I found strengthing the springs help tremendously, so I didn't have to be so cautious with my steering and allowing me to correct mistakes when I don't quite get the angle or speed right for a corner. A much better driving experience! In the video you mentioned keep the springs soft, but I think the soft springs were still allowing some body roll, affecting the traction when corning, at least with the Fiesta Rally3 in my experience. I'm sure there is a trade-off in having firmer springs, but I didn't notice it if there was. Perhaps I'm more like to have trouble if my wheels cross the edge of the road, but for me spinning out in the corners was the greater problem than crashing to curbstones. In any case this was a great learning experience!

omg, what an amazing guides!!❤ I see your guides many mant times for all dirts 1,2 & 3 but I can see how guide going for dirt 3.0, its going more details and advance! . I suggest to do a video on driving styles, like what would be the fastest driving style or how my driving style should adapt to different surfaces, also what will be the most stupid driving style for example just a suggestion, maybe too complicated to achieve such a video

Thanks for the guide. It’s highly appreciated. It would be cool to have a series/video on tuning out naturally difficult cars to drive like Group B cars. On DR 2.0 I had so much fun driving Group B even on controller but on this game they seem almost impossible to drive on controller and it saddens me to not use them as often lmao. Thanks again for this series.

Some AWD cars have an adjustable center diff but others don't. How does the center diff behave in the non-adjustable cars?

Some don't have a center diff. The Rally1 cars don't have one for example

If an AWD has no center diff it behaves like a fully locked diff at all times

I assume it is an open diff in the non-adjustable cars. Otherwise tarmac would feel very strange as you basically rip your drivetrain apart. For settings I suggest similar logic as you would put on the front diff. Can't think of a case where you would want to have it more locked than the front diff, so keep it somewhere between open and your front diff setting.

I am a bit nervous with minimum ride height and stiff dampers on the "bumpy" sections. Should i raise ride height a bit, adjust dampers, springs, or am i just overly nervous?

Nervous in your head or in the actual driving? If you feel the car is unsettled, raise it a bit higher.

@@skyrex2465 The actual driving. I found that raising height a bit did the trick. I wouldn't consider these roads as super smooth. In that they are not completely flat and predictable.

Ikke noe problem, Rally Norge kommer snart. Plan to cover some basic locations first (Kenya, Sweden, ...), then will follow with the wishlist, already got Corsica wished, will put Norway right next. It is actually my favorite Rally, such good fast narrow on the edge snow driving in Telemarks fjeller.

Been really enjoying your videos dude. It’s just a shame that they’ve changed how some of the cars set up now on values. In particular the Yaris diffs… 40% maxes out on breaking lock now I think and one is around 39% or 50% 🤔
