Finally we’re back behind the camera again🎥 😄 I missed our filming dates and this weeks one was great! It hit all our favourite spots like food, history and beautiful scenery. 🥰 It was a LONG day of editing, as in 7 hours long and I think himself done a fantastic job. 👏 🥰 and we hope you enjoy it just as much as we do. 🇭🇷🍷🌅🎥😃

I lived in Komiza from birth to age 11. I am senior citizen now, living across the pond. This video brings back so many memories. When I lived in Komiza there was only 1 motor vehicle to be seen, a bus that went to Vis and back. Also, there were no foreign tourists because Vis was an army base with a lot of secret activities taking place. There were no hotels either. Locals lived off the land and from fishing. Fish was processed at the local cannery called "Neptun". Although small in population Komiza had a movie theater and a nice library. Thank you for making my day.

Canned mackerel produced at "Neptun" Komiža was, by far, the best canned fish I've ever had consumed and there's been a fair few of different once along my 60+ years. Unfortunately the factory doesn't exist any more. It was closed in 2007.

@@dr-kico One could buy sardines and mackerel so fresh they were still jumping in the crates, at the fish market. Grilled over wood coals it tasted amazing. Some salad made with fresh veggies, fresh bread and some wine...Perfect. I used to fish from the pier of Neptune cannery. Larger fish came in to feed on unusable fish parts cannery discarded. I had my "secret" fishing hole...I got me some whoppers in my day. I remember my proud walks back home with all the fish on my stringer.

Oh, my Croatia. You have become a big restaurant. Only tourism and money. What else is left? Come on, let's find every corner and invite everyone, then there will be no more peace, silence or nature, but a crowd of people. Local people sell their heritage, turn the wild coast and beauty into concrete. So the new generations will have nothing to admire. Enjoy and take the memories with you, something should be left for posterity. I hope, of our origin. Unfortunately, social networks are destroying the peace of the cypress and the Croatian language. Advertisements do more harm than good. Everyone is fighting for ``likes'', not for natural beauty. It's funny, but because of the army, Vis has preserved its beauty.

I bet you were (are) a tourist occasionally, did someone sell the heritage cause you enjoyed and took the memories with you? Did you tell someone where you took those memories from intriguing the person to go there too? Could that be treated as your own contribution to the raising of overtourism? And, finally, what are you suggesting - to hide every corner so noone come or to restrict the entrance into the parts of the country for some/all coming from wherever they are coming from? What would you do if some of the sites you've visited or wanted to visit put a sign saying the area is restricted for you? Or, even worse, if there is no such a sign but to get to visit the site the entrance fee is so expensive that only a few hundred of the wealthiest could afford it. Do you think that would preserve peace, silence, nature, would it protect the language from distortions or heritage from being sold? Actually, I think it would - I just wouldn't like it. Would you?
