Cute idea. I made a couple modifications. 1) I started with a magic circle. For the yarn I was using it made a tighter center. 2) I changed the chain 3 at the beginning of the round to a chain 2, 1dc, followed by the 2 dc for the corner clusters. Instead of squeezing in another dc at the end of the round to join, I join to the chain 2 right after the last front post dc.

I like the updated join! It looks very neat when finished and will have less ends to sew in. I am almost done my blanket following your old join method. It is working well for me because I am doing an ombre blanket and needed to map out my colors. So it is nice now to have 2 ways to join the 🔺️triangles.

Interested in why you yarn under on the first part of the DC. And yarn over on the second part.
@meishandmade40903 жыл бұрын
It’s easier and faster for me to get or wrap the yarn around the hook on the second part by yarning under though I always say “yarn over” when it’s yarn under 😅
@misstortitude3 жыл бұрын
@@meishandmade4090 yarn under makes a shorter stitch than yo: does that make the triangle curl inwards more?
@ruthmaxwell602 жыл бұрын
@@misstortitude interesting, didn’t know that.
@misstortitude2 жыл бұрын
@@ruthmaxwell60 it is worth knowing about as it can particularly affect final sizing so could skew a garment fitting unless done on purpose. Can be done accidentally by self taught crocheters. In this instance I wondered if it was deliberate to shape the triangle although I still done know. YO is often used in amigurumi to get tighter fabric for stuffing. Worth a Google of 'yarn over v yarn under' imo

Hey, i have a question, in the voiceless tutorial you start different, with a magic ring, and now start with a st chain, makes some difference in the final result? :( thanks uwu
@meishandmade40903 жыл бұрын
Other people prefer the chains to make a circle than the magic ring because there is a big chance the yarn would come off with the magic ring and you wouldn’t want that. So in my second video I used chains to make a circle.

@joseanker20595 ай бұрын
Do exactly what she is showing you to do. It worked fine for me
@kieranmanning33945 ай бұрын
If this way isn't working. You can line up the edges and make a slip stitch into the back loop of one and into the front loop of the other together. This will give you a really nice crisp line between the triangles.
@michelebondfield7572Ай бұрын
The intro says that you can join the triangles as you go- to me, that means that you don't make separate triangles, but that you make triangles similar to the magic squares in knitting. Very disappointed.
