Just a word of caution..the cat may attempt to chew the wool, and should it unravel, long lengths can be digested and cause intestinal problems, or indeed if for a small kitten, the unraveled wool may become trapped around the neck. It's a gorgeous idea, just be present when the cat has the item. I'm sorry if I sound paranoid, but one of my cats chewed on an old jumper I put down in her bed because it had my smell on, and she chewed and swallowed long lengths. She was fine, but ended up leading to a very hefty vet bill. Edit: be mindful of the plastic eyes too. Sorry to poop on your idea!
@retroboomer3 жыл бұрын
I just add a loop of yarn on the top to hang them by.
@SilverIchimaru3 жыл бұрын
I made one for my cat but I used french knots in black yarn for the eyes. Because kitty does not care I tied knots so it was not likely to unravel. She mauled it to 'death' since she goes bonkers over catnip and nothing came undone or unraveled.

I've made it! What a beautiful flower turned out. I used soft rainbow fluffy yarn for petals and cotton yellow yarn for central piece. So it has very gentle petals, pretty rough but squishy body. So then I decided to make one for ME but instead of a keychain I turned it into a magnet so I could put it on My Refrigidare.....without the stuffing but I Glue Gunned a magnet on the inside of the Back Circle and then crochet both circles together and added the Flower Petals and VOILA, a magnet for my Fridge!!! I am a complete beginner and this project was my 3rd one which took me roughly 4 hours to do, with all the trial and errors to make a magic circle. Was very frustrating and annoying at the start but as you get the hang of it, it does get easier. I used white, blue and yellow yarn for mine and it turned out so cute, not as good as yours of course but I am still very proud of my accomplishment. Going to give this to a friend as a Christmas present and hope they will love it as much as I do. Thank you for the great tutorial !!
@jesilynmc3 жыл бұрын
Tip about the magic circle, make a slipknot but keep it a loose circle instead of completely tightening the center, then crochet over the circle and the tail. It's very easy that way, if you can make a slipknot you can turn it into a magic circle easily! A lot of the ways I read how to do it when I was learning were so convoluted and confusing. Once I heard someone say it's just a loose slipknot, it clicked. Never had a problem again. I hope that helps!

I really enjoyed making one of these little flowers, so cute. I will be making more. Mine did come out smaller, because I had a limited amount of yellow, but as long as you have an even number of stitches on the outside of the face, it works. I also didn't have any little eyeballs, so I just used black yarn and made a few French knots. Thanks for the inspiration.
