Just do it in the same way leave the same number like I did and instead of fans just make double crochet all around and stop where I do then turn back. Try it see if it works for you.

I love your work. I made the sweater and it's beautiful. THIS video was much harder to follow. You went entirely too fast and you didn't explain it in detail as you did for the sweater. I'm making the bonnet but have had to fudge a couple areas and still wonder if it will come out right due to your speed and a few ommisions. I really do love the pattern though. Still trying my best to create a beautiful outcome. Thank you

How many rows do you have for the hind head? You should have 5 rows and 60 double crochet at the end of the 5th row. Then 2 rows of single crochet

Im an experienced crocheter however i found your written i structions yo be over simplistic and the video too fast. A stitch count at the end of each row would have been helpful . My counts are off possibly due to no stitch count and the gap area need about 8 double crochet that you do not mention. Please provide more details. Im still not done and im very frustrated.
