Crochet baby sandals tutorial / 0-3 months

Hello everyone. This is baby sandals tutorial. The tutorial has two parts. This is first part of baby sandals tutorial. In this part I'm going to show you just how to crochet sole. In the second part I will show you rest of shoe.
I will show you size for 0-3 months old baby. Written pattern will be available in Nov/Oct in my etsy shop in 3 sizes.

First round 1. Make 13 chain 2. After that make 2 double crochet on the 3rd stitch from the end of the chain 3. 1 double crochet on the next 9 stitches 4. On the very last stitch make 5 double crochet 5. Continue(Make 1 double crochet on the next 9 stitches) 6. On the very last stitch make 2 double crochet 7. Slip stitch on the third stitch

I was able to use 3.5mm hook and DK (#3 WEIGHT) yarn (100% cotton from hobbi we love yarn 8/8) and was able to achieve the correct sole size.

Basically, on the first round you end up with 4 dc in one end and 5 on the other end because you slip stich in the 3rd chain before starting the second round. Total stitches on first round become 27 and its the only way I could complete the second round.

@@hkaur4317 You can try it but I used 3 mm crochet hook and the yarn parameters are: 50g, 125 mt, 137 yard, 100% cotton. I can´t say how much bigger will be the shoe with your yarn. Try it..maybe it will be fine but you will not get size for 0-3 months.

Hi, you can use 3,5 mm crochet hook or thicker yarn. Also you can add one more chain and add stitches in the whole pattern. I am working on a written pattern for four sizes of these sandals but I do not know when I will be able to finish it. i have no much time now. I´ll let you know then ;)

If you will make last round like you said it will be wrong. It should go 2 sc in nxt 6, 1 sc in nxt 7 st, 2 sc in next 10 st, 1 sc in next 7 st, 2 sc in next 6 sc, ss if I count well 😊. But it will make just bigger width of back part. If you want to have bigger size like 3-6 months you can wait till I have done the written pattern. It will be different pattern from start.

I watched this video like three different times and couldn't figure out where I was making a mistake so I ended up writing the pattern out myself and scoured the comments looking to see if anybody else noticed. Putting them in the subtitles isn't very helpful when people who don't use subtitles can't see the issue. That's an hour of my time I won't get back but at least I found the issue
