@@josiearruda3112 The pattern is that you wait one extra sc before increasing in each row. I'm leaving out the (×6) at the end of each row, so just repeat this pattern until you get to the end of your row, then move on to the next row. r1: 6 sc r2: sc1, inc (12) r3: sc2, inc (18) r4: sc3, inc (24) r5: sc4, inc (30) r6: sc5, inc (36) r7: sc6, inc (42) r8: sc7, inc (48) r9: sc8, inc (54) r10: sc9, inc (60) Here's how you do 60 sts, hopefully you can see the pattern and extend it on your own if you need a bigger ball.

I love this tutorial but I would like to know how you develop your increases for a 42 stitch circle and a 48 stitch circle?
@KnitGrit Жыл бұрын
I would just keep adding 6 stitches every round until it’s the width you’d like and for every row you’ve increased I would do two rounds of length, if that make sense? So, for a 42 stitch circle I would inc 6 times evenly across similarly to how I did in this video and since that’s 7 rounds of increasing I would do 14 rounds of just working in the round and the same for 48, it would be 8 rounds so I would go around for 16 rounds but I would also pay attention when you’re going around to make sure it doesn’t look too long and would stop early if you think you’re making more of an oval than a ball. Hope that makes sense!
@lindsv Жыл бұрын
@@KnitGrit Thank you - I figured out how to increase the stitches to 42 so that they are staggered (that's what I was trying to say!). I am doing more of an oblong shape so I'll just add a couple rows till it's long enough.

I have watched so many of these tutorials on here and yours seems like the easiest one for me to understand! The tail trick and magic circle trick is 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼! I do have a question though. When decreasing, are you only grabbing one front string because that's how you increased to get that "bubble" look or are you always supposed to only grab the front loop when decreasing even if you made the circle grabbing the whole "v" aka both strings? I hope that makes sense lol!

That's it. All of these videos are the same. Im either going to quit or take a crotching class because all of these go fast, don't explain anything, and i have to redo every step over 60 times. Im so done with these unhelpful videos, if i ever actually learn how to I'll make my own video that actually explains how to do each step and explaining problems someone might run into and how to fix it, not going fast and expecting them to know how to crochet (because every video said "you have to know stuff first" and we all know people who have never actually done it before come to these), and just so much more that these videos miss to explain or expect viewers to go to another video of theirs to learn a small part.
