J Wood what a brilliant idea! I have held back using that yarn because it’s so thin- maybe doubling up is the answer!

enjoying this pattern and you are right about the treble stitch, not liking that row.

I love this pattern. How do we change colours for those of us who can't get hold of cake? I've got 3 colours I'd like to use, grey, black and white...but it doesn't say in the pattern where we can change colours. Can we just change colours anywhere we like?

Color change suggestion? How many rows. Maybe not the same number of rows in colors. I have 5 colors.

I’ve done this twice with 163 chains and after the last repeat I am always left with 9 chains instead of 10 to do 9 sc with 2sc in the last stitch. VERY frustrating.

I've frogged this three times. I can't get past row three. I'm using the video and written instructions for reference. I wish he was more clear on some of the locations of where the stitches are to go. This is the only thing I can think that is causing me to continue to be off because I have counted nines and fives until I'm blue in the face. I'll fudge it another row or so and go off my crochet instincts to see if I can make it work. If not....darn. I've heard this is a common problem with Crochet Crowd instructions/videos.

I know you posted this months ago, but what I would suggest is use stitch markers. As you do the single crochets for the 1st row anytime you do the 2sc together, mark it with the stitch markers because these are your "valleys" in the chevron. When you get to the 3sc in one stitch, mark the center (2nd stitch) of that cluster to mark the "peaks". this way when you work the bean stitch in row 2, you know where the peaks and valleys are easier. Hope that helps!

The chevron has always been hard for me I have no idea why, everytime I try it I have to frog and frog and frog until I just give up and quit, and trust me I'm not one to give up easily. I will get a Chevron done some day
@mrsorton3265 жыл бұрын
Try stitch markers to mark your peaks and valleys.
