Rhonda, I hear you say many times that you aren’t good at video. I have to disagree. The camera angle is perfect (though very awkward for you) it helps the viewer to see exactly where to put the hook, where to place pins etc. Your counting and commentary are essential. I have made some of your little characters. My sister (60yrs old) wants me to make a clown. This bear with adaptations will be the perfect template. You are a lot better a tutor than you think. Thank you so much 🇬🇧

What is the actual finished size
@rhondadawnbutler Жыл бұрын
If you are using the same size yarn and hook as the video, it should be approximately 9 inches when sitting, and 11 inches standing. But it won’t stand on its own. 😊

Have been looking for the care bear pattern I jut hope I can the symbols 10 bears 41:40
@rhondadawnbutler Жыл бұрын
Hi Diane. So far I only have 2 done, a heart and a clover. The links for those are in the description. If you can’t free hand what your looking for for the others. Search for crochet appliqué , and then the symbol. You’ll want to find something in the 2” range for it to fit. Sorry I don’t have more yet, but hope that helps you out for the rest. 🥰

I really want to make this bear it’s so cute, do you think you can use blanket yarn?(that’s the only yarn I have)
@rhondadawnbutler4 ай бұрын
I haven’t seen this one in blanket yarn yet, but all my other animals are working out beautifully in it. If you using Bernat, you may have to skip the first row, but otherwise it should work good 👍😊

@@rhondadawnbutlerI’m starting it tomorrow so I’ll let you know how it goes.

@@MorganKennedy-y9f awsome! Can’t wait to hear how it turned out. Just an fyi, my smaller ones use almost a full 10oz ball of Bernat blanket yarn. You may need half of another ball to finish if it’s all the same color. 😊

When I crochet the arm of the bear 🐻 it comes closed Can anybody help me out 😭
@lms613711 ай бұрын
Make sure you are counting your stitches each round, it’s easy to drop or skip stitches and have a really small circle. Also, you can try using a hook that’s a little bigger (4.5 mm) if you tend to crochet really tightly.

Where you able to get it? It really does help to use some kind of a stitch marker, then you know if you made a mistake in the row. It is probably an occasional skipped stitch, or too many decreases. Hope that helps, and you get it to work 🥰

The head, arms, body, and legs are no sew. You have to sew the nose and ears on. 😊

The time stamp and your counting is confusing. Please always post the piece we are crocheting. So we can fined the item quickly. Thank you.

I understand how the counting can be confusing if you don’t do it in repeat sets like I do. If you can elaborate on how the timestamp is confusing I’m always looking to improve my videos to make them as easy as possible 😊

@rhondadawnbutler Жыл бұрын
These eyes are off Amazon , I believe they are around $15.00 for around 200 pieces. They are three pieces, a 20mm clear eye, a sparkly washer, and the back. 😊

@@beatingheart698 awwww 🥰thanks!!!! That’s so nice of you to say. Sometimes I think that because I don’t feel very professional. Sometimes I have to redo a row like 6 times cause I say something wrong, or loose count, or my camera and light fall over, lol. Or I just can’t work nicely around the camera. But most of that I can edit out, so it feels sooooo awkward during the videoing process, but cleans up a lot in editing. but sooo many seem to like crocheting with me that I just keep things as they are. 😊 I love sharing my patterns with everyone. Glad you enjoyed making your bear!!!! Hope to see you in another one 🥰
