here's the written pattern! 1) slipknot 2) ch73 3) skip 3 and dc until end end of first row 4) ch2 and turn change colours 5) make a loop on the other yarn and insert 6) ch2, and dc all the way down (the other colour should have 3 rows) 7) now we have row 18, ch 1 sew them and flip final cat beanie is done center of star 8) magic ring, ch2, 14dc, close circle, sl st into top of ch2 star points 9) ch5, skip 1st ch, sc hdc, tc, skip two sl st into 3rd st (repeat 4x) flower 10) ch6, sl st in 1st chain, ch4, 3 tc, ch4 sl st (repeat 4x) 11) put some stitch markers 12) make a loop ch2 6dc 13) R2: ch2, 6dc 14) R3: ch2 6dc get other yarn 15) make a loop and insert ch2 skip 1 st 4 dc 16) ch20, sl st the 19ch 17) sl st, ch1 and cut sew the flower repeat this onto the other side sew star into beanie

This is for beginners who know how to do all the stitches and know the abbreviations mean like ch= chain but if you don't know how to do all the stitches I suggest you learn them then do this

U should measure it based on ur head, I made one and need about 85 chains instead of 73

@@gotmyheartahelmet Yeah! You should chain accordingly to your head, it wont affect the outcome of the beanie at all as you don't need an even/odd number, just the right amount to fit around your head. Also keep in mind your natural tension, if you tend to crochet tighter then maybe add a few more chains than you think you might need. I hope this helps in any way.

I'm pretty sure it's based on measurements? Just put the measuring tape around your head and it's your choice on how tight or loose you want it to be. After checking, you should mark the number or write it down and chain enough to reach the measurement! ^°^

Stich markers are usually used to know where the first stich is, so when you want to count you can easily find it

yes! the no. of chains actually depends on the size of the head. try wrapping the chain around ur head and leave about half an inch allowance ;)

i just started crocheting yesterday and i think of this too. i think that 73 chains are to small to fit my head so i decided to make 93 chains and i ended up making a big one. so I'm here to make a new one again and do 73 ch instead 😅😅😅😅

Hi! sorry for the late reply idk if you figured it out but you can always go bigger/smaller by chaining more then 73 I think thats to fit the creators head not everyone's! feel free to wrap the chain around your head if you want to test out sizing
