what she is using is bigger so you can see more clearly whats going on :) but you should use the measurements she says to give the same results

On row 2 when I reach the end I don't have only 2 chains left I have 3 and I re did everything on that row but I still have 3? Instead of 2 left

On the materials you mentioned a 1.6 mm hook but the one you use on the video looks much biggger

Question, why is the 1 ply lace yarn I bought like a thread compared to the one in the video? Also my 2 mm hook is way smaller compared to your 1.6 mm. What are the correct sizes being used here? I just bought 9 rolls of yarn that appear to be the wrong size 😩

The reason it looks way smaller is because the pink and blue thread used in the video is a bigger size to make it easier to see what she is doing. The actual cardigan is made with the 1 ply lace yarn.

You should keep the tension same, then it won't get smaller/bigger!

I started making this for a dinner party back in april, have been checking in on and off. This was my first piece of clothing i tried making. I learned a lot, it came out a bit different 😂 but i love that I could do it myself! Im now halfway though the sleeves and the party is this saturday, i hope i make it. I did the same mistake as usually 🙂‍↕️😣 I didn't count my gauge or whatever it is and did my back of cardigan way to big. The front parts are also a little to big. I thought that my yarn is thin enough😅 I used crochethook 2 and my yarn has recommended crochethook 2,5. Meh, I hope that I figure out how to fix that. I learned my lesson. I will count how many chains should I make to get the same inches lengyh as you do. When I made 137 chains my backpart becomes 22inches length 😒😳

Hey, I think you can use other yarn, I used weight 4. But instead of using the number of chains as a guide, go with the inches as a measurement. I think that'll work.

Hi Chendra, I was just wondering, but when you were using the pink yarn, is it a different weight to lace, because when I look at lace yarn, mine is significantly smaller than the one you're using? And if anyone else could help me understand why my light weight DK yarn looks super thin compared to other light weight yarn I see people use for tutorials, that would be much appreciated :)
