This totally depends on the height of the cardigan that you might want. But approximately 1 extra ball per size higher.

I didn't count stitches, if you watch the tutorial, it has all instructions because we use measurements here. this gives you the chance to use and yarn size and hook size, so please watch if you want to recreate this using 4 ply in any size because I mentioned all instructions in the video.
