Crochet Family Socks - Toddlers to Adults | EASY | The Crochet Crowd

Crochet Socks for the Family are the hit this year. Sized from Toddler 2/4 to mens 10/11 sizes with several sizes in between.
These socks start at the cuff and work down to the heel. Unlike other socks I have taught that are considered toe-up. What's easier to follow? I prefer the cuff down. It was easier to maintain count of the heel area, in my opinion.
Using Patons Kroy Socks, this sock yarn has nylon in it. So your socks you will make are intended and will be long lasting. Ensure to follow the correct size crochet hook and yarn for the most accurate size.
The tutorial will walk you through all sizes but will focus on the 2/4 years of age size. I believe I have left you enough information in the tutorial to follow the instructions for all sizes.

How can I make these wider in the foot? My grandsons absolutely love them but they are way too small in the foot! I even tried making them the small womans' size and the 3 grandsons are only in kindergarden & 1st grade.

It would change the heel counts. It's better to find a different pattern completely and use that from that written instructions.

Thank you for this great tutorial. I just made myself a pair of socks and they're awesome. My boyfriend has requested a pair but im just having a hard time knowing what size to follow because he's a mens 9.5 shoe size but the only mens size is 10/11.. I don't know how to change the pattern to fit his foot

Like the pattern and video makes it very easy to follow. My issue is using Kroy sock yarn which is variegated to make child sizes. It’s almost impossible to get close to same variegation pattern in second sock. They are very nice patterns but next time I will stick to plain one color yarn. Disappointed

I hope you will still get this comment even though the video is old now! I am making a women's size and have done the heel part and now I am at the point where it gets really confusing!!!! It's the Shaping heel instructions I just don't get. Am I doing the Ch1, 1 sc in 13 then Sc2tog on the last row of the heel where I did the long stitches? Do you have a video showing this part?

I seem to get lost on the shaping of the heel when completing the 4th row. When I turn do I then SC the next 9 SC stitches before I start to shape the intstep? I'm doing the 2/4yr old size. Thanks, just a beginner trying to do an intermediate skill level.

What does it mean on size 6/8 toddler where is says to crochet each of the 9 sts. and then 1 sc. in next sc? Wouldn't it just say to single stitch in 10 scs ? I am stuck at this part and the video does not address it. I hope someone can help!
