It's that time of year again. And Im back at this WONDERFUL Video. Definitely my go to video for sock making. I come to this video to make my family matching holiday socks for Christmas photos. They are an absolute hit and ppl always ask me where I get them. I've gotten good enough to make the sock with only the linked instructions in the bio. You are the absolute best and I appreciate you dearly ❤

This is by far the “toetally” best sock pattern I have ever used, especially how the heel is made… thank you so much for sharing this

Thanks for the pattern! Your instructions are quite clear. My first sock came out so badly that it was funny! I uh... thought I had the pattern memorised 🙄. I just made two more socks and they are looking great, so I figured out where I was going wrong. And I never even considered using stitch markers like you have. I'm always wrestling with the plastic safety-pin like markers. So I ordered lobster hooks and cute charms to make a bunch. Anyway thanks again!

Just made my first sock it came out looking great chose to omit top row at the end as I made it too tight couldn’t get the foot in lol. Made in size 10 hoping to get the other one done in time for Mother’s Day present 😀

"just to get your feet wet" I certainly hope not :P (sorry that made me giggle) This is an amazing pattern. I got frustrated with the last pattern I was using and frogged my whole project and found your pattern and am so pleased with it. I also love the linked double crochet for socks, it's so much better than a typical double crochet.

The heel was a little big for my foot so I worked a few decreases into the ankle rows and that worked just fine (I worked one dec at both edges of the heel, so two per round and I did that three times, that fixed the problem for me) I also made the leg taller, because me and short-legged socks don't mix.

Love the pattern and tutorial!!! Just a quick “edit”- you said find the vertical bar on the linked double crochet and I believe it’s the horizontal bar, isn’t it?

My entire sock is with the vertical bar because of this lmao

Ok so I'm with you thru the 1st LDC row...now how do I go from a women's size 5-6 to a man's 10-11??? I'm frustrated and trying to get into the next level of crocheting here. I like the double crochet look of these. It doesn't seem like they would look as bumpy.❤ The widest part of his foot measured about 10 inches.
@moi396 Жыл бұрын
In case you haven't gotten an answer elsewhere the pattern is on her website in several sizes. But pattern for the entire sock except cuff [bc the are 3 cuff options) are there under each size. So if you want men's 10-11 you have to scroll down to that size to start with the toe. Then as you crochet you can follow this video, knowing you have to use the numbers from your size not these video. So you'll have more stitches in each row and now rows for the foot. I'm making these now, fought through sock 1, breezed through the second, then undid the first completely to redo one size up, so I'm now just starting the short rows for heel on my new first sock. It's loads easier now.

Where or how to purchase the pattern for these socks I’m 79 years old and need more than the video. These look so nice. Thank you Sandra .I’m not computer savvy

I had the same gauge, but somehow my sock turned out tiny 😢 gonna try again with a larger size and different yarn!

Can you please go further into detail of where exactly you are going into when you say you are going into the side of a stitch? I’ve rewatched the video over 10 times and slowed it down to 0.25X the speed but can’t figure out where you mean when you say the side of the stitch 😊
@jaymeeboustead93243 жыл бұрын
Do you just continue going up until you're happy with height of sock for knee socks?
@HeartHookHome3 жыл бұрын
Yes. For knee length you might add a couple of increases every few rows (depending on the size of your calves).
@Lne3302 Жыл бұрын
Thank you for the pattern! I am a bit confused about the gauge, is 10ldcs × 7 rows supposed to be 3 or 4 inches? There are different values between your site and ravelry. I had to go up to a 7mm hook to achieve 3" and the swatch looks and feels wrong.
@HeartHookHome Жыл бұрын
it is 10 ldc in 3"...Ravelry automatically defaults to 4", I will see if I can change that.
@Lne3302 Жыл бұрын
Thank you@@HeartHookHome. They turned out great!! The most rewarding pattern I've tried so far, once I figured out the correct gauge for the yarn I used

I love these socks! Quick question, after finishing the heel is it possible to decrease the ankle? It is very lose on my husband's. If so how would you go about? Thanks :)
@HeartHookHome3 жыл бұрын
I'd probably just place a decrease on each side of the heal until it's small enough .
@jasmina58902 жыл бұрын
You lost me after finishing the heel 😭😭😭 mine continues to the heel not the foot, like its backwards somehow. 😭😭😭 i have half a sock

Bobby pins, safety pins, or even scraps of yarn can work as stitch markers as well =)
