This is A great help! I have only been crocheting for a very short time. I have been buying yarn, tools, patterns, etc for almost 2 yrs. I always found trying something new to be a anxiety trigger, but I am now starting to crochet and it is getting easier and even helping to lessen my anxieties now! This helped me a great deal as I struggled with wider/shorter pieces for the longest! Thanks for this! I really needed this one! I love the fact that you get straight to it and I didnt have to guess when you were teaching and when you were not teaching!

When I first started crocheting, I also struggled with figuring out where the last stitch in the row was. I was losing a stitch, but because I was going into that first stitch in the next row, I didn't figure out I was doing it wrong for a while.

I used to miscount my stitches in the round. It took me forever to figure it out.

Great tips! A year later it seems like I'm still hit or miss with the starting chain. For that reason, I lean towards Foundation Chains. Believe it or not, I've mastered those - go figure. Have a safe and Blessed day 🙏

I, too, am a hit and miss with the starting chains. My congrats to you for mastering the foundation chain. I've tried and tried but...no success. Perhaps one day.

I tend to add a stitch to the ends of the rows, not so much the beginning.

Will this method work well with single crochet? Because I don’t use a Turing Chang
@vickibennett65792 жыл бұрын
Can you tell me how to do this process with 1/2 double crochet? The video with double crochet was grea but I’m making a hat using half double crochet.

I dont understand what I've done. my foundation chain isn't bowing like in the example and my edges are straight (not getting wider) but I measured my length and 16inches and checked again on my first row, still a good size, then checked on my next row and it had grown an inch?

I actually have the opposite problem and my work gets shorter so it tapers in as I go. I guess this means I’m missing stitches at the end of my rows? But I can’t figure out how because it’s seems like there’s no room for another stitch.

Would you know how to crochet a rounded hem? I would like to make a sweater or cardigan that is longer in the back with a rounded hem but can't figure out how to do that.
@LittlejohnsYarn3 жыл бұрын
If I am picturing it right. That that would involve some increasing & decreasing stitches. I wouldn't know how to explain it without working it out my self first.
@simfimpim3 жыл бұрын
@@LittlejohnsYarn Thank you. I love sweaters that are a bit longer so that I can wear them with leggings. I think that a rounded, vs a straight across hem, is a more contemporary look.
