My grandmother used to make these all of the time for me as a little girl. I have always wanted to make one but never had anyone to show me how. You made my entire day!!! 🥰

I’ve been doing granny squares all my crochet life. I’m 73 and you have inspired me to make up all my 4 weight scrap into squares. I’ll collect a box of them and the decide which ones I’ll put together. This will help me use up my scraps‼️Thank you. 🧶 I’m a knitter by heart but also love to crochet

you have a genuine skill for matching colors together!! I’d LOVE to see a video of you explaining how you choose which colors to use with each other & if you have any tips for some of us newbies. (even when I see yarn at the store it’s hard for me to visualize how it’ll look in a project😅) also thank you for this tutorial!! totally making soon

This is beautiful! I have started crocheting again…I am pretty old🤣…the first thing I crocheted were two large granny square pillows for my parents for Christmas…I loved them…my parents threw them away …so it’s taken me until just a few years ago to pick it up again…you are just adorable and do BEAUTIFUL work 🤍👏🏻🤍🥰

I find that granny squares are tighter amd hold shape better if you chain only 2 in the corner between clusters. Beautiful blanket ❤😊

Oh my gosh!!! This is amazing…. Im 59 and i taught myself to crochet during the pandemic…. And i have been searching for the best video on how to do a granny square blanket and today was the day that your channel popped up with this video…. It's so interesting to me all the different ways people crochet. I've never seen anyone hold their hook hand still and wrap their yarn over with the other hand like you do. I love it though! Whatever gets the job done 😊 oh and also...I really like this blanket with the giant granny squares, gonna have to add it to my ever growing list of things I want to crochet

During childbirth we used to use the other hand to wrap yarn onto the hook. But its fascinating to see now. I Crotchet and I don't.

I love watching people crochet too. I do it the same way she does and it's so fascinating all the ways people find that work for them.

This was by far the best tutorial on granny squares that I’ve found!! Thank you! Now I can get started!!

I’m always so appreciative of step by step videos however, your rings are very distracting for someone like me. I’m not sure I understand why you would put them on since you didn’t have them in the intro. 😭 Anyways, please accept my comment as feedback from a viewer who desires to learn but finds all the rings distracting. ❤

Simple granny squares are always the best and your blanket is gorgeous. It’s nice to see a video where the squares are joined together by sewing rather than the impossible Join As You Go method which so many creators seem to prefer.😊🧶

I have ulna damage in my wrist. I learned to crochet using 50% movement in my right hand and 50% in my left. I can’t do the normal rotation or my hand will go numb. I also hold the hook in my hand like a fisted crab claw. My technique drives folks crazy! God bless.
