Can I just apologize on behalf of humanity for people who comment rude things lol. You don’t owe anyone a video and most people never consider how tedious making videos is and I and many others appreciate how much effort you put into this to show us how to make a lovely sweater. I could hear you clearly and you were very clear that your size may vary and to simply add more squares if you wanted additional length or width. Thank you for this great video!

I just completed my sweater! I added an additional row on the sleeves and front and back- so 15 extra squares. I also crocheted my border right on the waist and collar, like an afghan border. The sleeves i added a shell stitch to keep the open bell like opening and didn’t gather them. I wish i could attach a photo. I really appreciate all your work to share this with us! God bless you !

As a left handed, double jointed person that’s been trying to learn crochet for 20 years (I’m 39 so I’ve wanted to do this since a pretty young age 😂) I can’t tell you how much you’ve helped me finally learn something other than a single crochet stitch. When I was 19 I started an 8 ft long afghan that took me 7 years to get about 25% of it done. I actually had a housefire a few years ago and lost it. I’ve recently wanted to crochet again and just finished my first granny square bag thanks to your video. I’ve struggled so much trying to learn this backwards for so many years and you made it so incredibly simple. Thank you so much for taking the time to teach this to others 🥹☺️🧡

I do not crochet well...maybe a dish rag or 2 and who cares what those look like right....LOL I am almost finished with mine. I had to add an extra row on sleeves as I am larger than the original pattern. I am IN LOVE with this. Should be wearing it to church this Sunday!!! Thank you so much ....this tutorial was so step by step so even I could make it. I bought the Mini (4) at hobby lobby for .99 each. Still have some left and so reasonable. I had no yarn and that worked out best for me. You are awesome ...thank you again for paying your gift forward. 🙌

A tip when you stitch on the band, start with long tail to stich up halfway, then your finishing tail only needs to be half that length and won't tangle. Also, find the middle of the band and the middle of the back and pin, so it is even . 😊

I live in rural Tn (near Fall Creek Falls State Park). The snow and ice have made it impossible to get out of my driveway and go to work this week. You can't imagine how thrilled I was to find your video. I have been crocheting most of my life and like many other crocheters, I have lots of little left over yarn balls (not to mention the ones other people give me). This pattern is such a nice change from the traditional pattern most of our "Grannies" used to make. Love the pattern and your teaching style. Thanks for helping me through a week of cold, miserable weather. The snow was beautiful, but enough is enough. :)

Hi, I wrote a few days ago so this is an update. Made a hdc border around each square to make apx 5x5. Joined the shoulders. Now I have decided to lengthen both the body and the sleeves. I am a little on the tall side and feel that even with the trim and cuffs, I would prefer more length - and full length sleeves in any case. So making at least 15 more squares!

I am dying to try making this cardigan! I did learn a little trick on this type of cardigan for those of us who are plus-sized. I learned it from making the Cozy Days Daisy Cardigan. It's mostly how to widen the sleeves at the top while keeping the wrist area small, because nobody wants the wrists of their cardigan to be baggy. Well, I don't. Although, now that I'm re-watching this tutorial, I'm thinking that this would only work if the outer round of each granny square is the same color. Hmmmm...

Oh my gosh I have that same exact cross ring on the same exact finger!!! Lol I know that was korny but I was like oh my gosh that's so cool. BTW my current WIP is the granny square cardigan I am so excited about it and can't wait to finish. I will post it when I complete it so you can see it if you would like. Thank you so so much for taking time to share the pattern.

Thank you so much for this tutorial. I am very much a beginner crocheter but feel with your clear, concise instructions I can do this! The sweater is just so cute. I am a knitter and have been for several years but would like to learn crochet. Do you by any chance have the pattern written down? That would be so helpful. Thanks again! I’ll watch more of your channel.

I love this tutorial. Thank you so much. I have a question about the squares. Could you share a measurement for them? Are they 6 x 6? I ask because I crochet very tight and am wondering about my hook size. Thank you!
