How much yarn will I need? This is a very tricky question to answer as there are so many variables! How much yarn you need will depend on which yarn you choose, the thickness of that yarn, your tension and how large you want your finished project to be. I suggest making a small sample first so you can gauge how much yarn you'll need. If making a crochet square, you can weigh your finished square to work out how much yarn it used!
How many squares do I need for a blanket? That all depends on the size of the square you are making and how big you want your finished blanket to be! I always advise making one square first then measuring the size of it. From there you can work out how many squares you will need to get the blanket size you want 😀
Do you have the written pattern? Yes! I have written patterns to accompany my video tutorials on my website here: www.hookedbyrobin.com The written pattern is generally released a week or so after the video tutorial to ensure there are no errors in the video itself and to make amendments in the written version if any are found. All the written patterns are FREE to access on my website

Thank you for making this channel i have been trying to learn to crochet since i was a small child with no luck no matter what who where or when i tried to learn. when my granny passed in 2019 i was given all her crochet hooks after so many failed attempts i thought i just wouldnt be able to get it to click and then i came across your channel and learned how to make granny squares and a bee within a weeks time. Hi Robin, love this tutorial! I made 12 pieces last night, increasing the number of granny clusters to 7 as I wanted them just a tad larger.
