I started just last night making the hearts from a different pattern (I think yours are easier), but I didn't know how to put them in the border for the blanket I'm making. I was working from a photo and am still a fairly new, self-taught crocheter. Thank you so very much for this tutorial! You've managed to help make my project so much easier!

Love this design! Can you do a tutorial of more than 2 hearts and how to join them in a strip? I would like to make it into a baby blanket without joining every 2 hearts like you have shown here. Thanks for a very clear tutorial. New subscriber too.

What I showed was intended as a sample that people could use to make a whole strip and put into a bigger project. Use the rewind button and keep re-watching and crocheting along. So watch part 1 to make the hearts - 1st time make just one heart then next watch drop the tail of the heart you are making into the previous heart and keep re-watching and crocheting along until you have a big line of linked hearts however long you want it. Then watch part 2 to add the border. Start how I show you then rewind when you get to the bottom of the next heart and just keep repeating until you get to the end of your row. Watch where I make the side once then keep rewinding and repeating to go along the top of your work. Hope this helps!

Ok thx for the reply. I do understand how to crochet the linked hearts. I was just confused about extending the border to 3 or more hearts. I think I understand your repeat..that is to do the border on the 3rd heart like i did for the 2nd heat. Will give it a try.

So I just realized last night there's 1 more stitch on the bottom than on the top so blankets are going to get crooked. I'm trying to figure out a fix. Might skip the slip stitch at the bottom of the hearts, not sure yet.

I'm working on it this weekend. I going to see how it looks if I skip the slip stitch but then I'll have to add an extra stitch at the ends of the row.
