I just finished watching both videos. Great tutorial. I didn't know until after reading the comments that this was your first video. For a first one, I think you did pretty good. How hard is it to turn your volume button up? That's what I did. It was still a little quiet but I was able to hear just fine. The second video was definitely an improvement on sound. Good for you for even doing this!! Thank you for explaining what size mm hook an F is. I could have looked it up but found it in one of your replies to someone else. And good for you for learning how to crochet from youtube! I am really impressed with your accomplishments. You go girl!! :)

these are very easy. i had no problem working it out from a picture. start with ch 23 is your start all you have to do is look at the picture on the pattern thats post for sell.

but looking at the heart the pattern as you ending just beside the curve of the heart and you can see the 3 chains in the center( ch 11- ch12-ch13 these all get pull trow as one) hold them til you have 3 in your needle put throw sc 2 times next 6 stitch then 1 sc in next 5 stitches, this is how i choose to do it and i did join them till i was pulling it togethere. but on the pattern it looks like they did it on the side, but i like it on the bottom

F - 3.75mm. I used red heart super saver yarn but you might want to choose nicer yarn if making a bigger project.

ive been looking everywhere for a video on how to do this thank you so much. im new at crocheting. I need to figure out how to add this to a hat now. I have an idea but not really sure how. can you make a hat video with the hearts around the edge?

I'm actually working on adding them to a hat. I haven't decided how I will add them yet but my idea is to make the hearts connected into a big ring and add the border so it's like a head band. Then make the top section of the hat and slip stitch the two pieces together on the inside - that would be the simplest way I think, I might do the slip stitch, or SC or backwards SC on the outside to create a raised border line - not sure yet. Hearts are 7 stitches each so the last round on the top of the hat must be a multiple of 7.

someone was telling me to start from the bottom of the hat and work your way up instead of starting from the top and that way you do the hearts first but I don't know how to do that. I know id have to do the decreases instead of increases but I have only been crocheting for a short time. when you do figure it out I hope you do a video so I can follow it. till then im going to make a blanket with your heart pattern.

Awesome video and I’m grateful for ur time however I’m partially deaf and it’s very hard to hear u with my volume on the highest level again not complaining I have been crocheting for some time now so I was able to watch and rewind to really listen to get it but suggestion to speak up a bit especially for the beginner again not complaining because u are very great at ur work

Your voice is very low, however I put on some headphones and that was fixed. I didn’t see you make the first heart but I made it just as the video showed and surprisingly it came out better than my second. You’re very good at explaining just need better audio. I’m a beginner and for me videos help a lot. Yours, though it needs some improvement, is perfectly helpful for someone who need to see someone do it first.

The first heart is exactly the same as the 2nd. Just follow along with the video and skip the bit where I drop the tail through the first heart. Watch the video again to make the second heart. Hope this helps!

I had my speakers up too - nearly 100%! I found some of the camera angles a bit 'off'' - just couldn't see the stitches properly or precisely where the hook went in but got there in the end with the help of the blog post. As a UK resident I assume, why do you use US terminology, eg sc which we don't have?

Thanks for watching. This is my first attempt at a tutorial so I know its not great - 2nd tutorial (hearts part 2) I tried to talk louder. It's a phone camera so that might be the focus problem. I'll see if I can improve on next tutorial. Glad the blog post helped. Yeah I know I use US terminology. I learned to crochet from youtube and online so that's what I know. I've recently watched UK terminology tutorials and my brain struggles with that so I thought it best I just stick with the US terms.

The two hearts are made in exactly the same way. Watch the tutorial and make one stand alone heart (skip the bit where I drop the tail in to the previous heart). Then watch again to make the second heart and link it to the first one as shown. Hope this helps.

Sounds not good, sorry, someone said headphones worked for them, or the pattern is on my blog (link in video info). The hearts are the same so I didn't show the whole thing. Watch the video to make one heart (skip the bit where I drop the tail in the other heart). Finish that heart then rewind to watch the same thing again but make your second... keep re-watching to make third, fourth etc. Hope this helps :-)
