🌼Check out my NEW VERSION of this great Slipper.!🌼
• Crochet House Slippers...
Cozy! Super Easy Slippers! I recently went on a trip to Germany and was inspired by my "Auntie Ute" who makes these slippers for everyone and showed me how. I hope you enjoy making these and being creative with all your colours.
Here is a bit of instructions for you:
R1: MR 13 DC, sl - (13)
R2: Ch 1, Inc Dc all around, sl st - (26)
R3 - 12: Ch 1, 7 FpDc, 3 BpDc, 3 FpDc, 7 BpDc, 3 FpDc, 3 BpDc, sl st - (26)
R13: Turn. sl st, Ch 3, 2 FpDc, 3 BpDc, 7 FpDc, 3 BpDc, 3 FpDc.
R14 : Ch 3, turn, 2 BpDc, 3 FpDc, 7 BpDc, 3 FpDc, 3 BpDc.
R15: Ch 3, turn, 2 FpDc, 3 BpDc, 7 FpDc, 3 BpDc, 3FpDc.
Repeat 14 and 15. You will have 5 rows - add more if needed
R21: Ch 3, turn, 2 BpDc, 3 FpDc, Dec (st 2 BpDc together), 3 BpDc, Dec (st 2 BpDc together), 3 FpDc
R22: Ch 3, turn, 2 FpDc, 3 BpDc, Dec (st 2 FpDc together), 1 FpDc, Dec (st 2 BpDc together), 3 BpDc
Cut yarn leaving 10" (25 cm). Turn inside out. Pull MR close and wave in the tail. Place heel together matching up the stitches and darn together going trough top of the stitches. Wave in the tail. Turn the slipper inside out.
Top:
R0: Starting in the centre, Pull up a loop.
R1 - 5: Ch 1, FpDc around centre back stitch, 8 FpDc(side), 7 FpDc (front), 8 FpDc(side), sl st
Cut yarn. Pull tight. Close with invisible stitch weaving in end. Cut remaining yarn.
For Wider:
Rd 1 = 14 Dc
Rd 2 = 28 Dc
Rd 3 = 8 fpdc, 3 bpdc, 3 fpdc, 8 bpdc, 3 fpdc, 3 bpdc = 28 Dc
This will create a wider top and sole and keep the sides the same.
For More Narrow. Try decreasing the top and sole.
Rd 1 = 12 Dc
Rd 2 = 24 Dc
Rd 3 = 6 fpdc, 3 bpdc, 3 fpdc, 6 bpdc, 3 fpdc, 3 bpdc = 24 Dc.

Sitting here this morning, making yet another pair of these awesome slippers and I noticed that you have 629 thumbs down. Seriously?! I can not imagine why anyone would give this video a thumbs down. I wish I could "like" it every time I come back to it! You explain everything so clearly and patiently. It's very easy to follow and understand, and the end result is AWESOME! This is, by far, the best slipper tutorial I have found on KZbin. Thank you so much (again) for this tutorial!

Omg!!! I LOVE this tutorial. I love the tone of your voice, the pace, the distance of the camera from the slipper and I especially appreciated how you slowed down to show us how to advance through every step. I’m a visual learner, as most of us are, and I found this video extremely easy to follow. As a retired teacher, I can say that this is a perfect instructional tool. I can’t wait to buy my chunky yarn and get started!!! You have a new subscriber!!!

I'm sure the thumbs down are because they didn't watch the video, only read the written instructions like I tried to do hahaha and they are quite wonky. But I went back when my husband was awake and watched the video and re wrote the instructions following the video and got it right. Love these! I've made pairs for all 3 of my boys and myself and my husband. For the kids I just used a medium (#4) yarn and for my littlest I used a #3. Thank you for sharing these, we all love them and I was able to make 5 pairs (10 slippers!!) In just under a week! Thanks again!!

I learned to crochet after I retired in 2016. I dabbled in it a little during the pandemic shutdown and a lot more over the last couple of years while going through a couple of cancer surgeries and treatments. Recently, while fighting my 4th COVID breakthrough during the 2023 Christmas holidays, I decided it was time for this rookie to tackle something more challenging. I'm so glad I pick this pattern. Thanks Stephanie for posting this video and project. It's really boosted my crocheting confidence. These slippers feel like I'm walking on clouds.

I made myself a pair of these slippers around Christmas. I Love them. They are so comfortable. The sole is so thick that you don’t feel the cold floor at all. I ended up making 7more pair for family members. Everyone loves them, even former non-slipper wearers. I am a knitter, so this was my first crochet project. The instructions were so clear and easy to follow. Thank you so much!!

For those of you who are making for the older community, please be aware that if they walk on hard wood ( slicker) floors these will make it where they may fall. If carpet floors they will be fine! Even little tikes may be prone to falls. Just an FYI from past experience. Other than that, I LOVE these slippers! So easy to make! Great video!!

Suzanne Stalcup you could put on puffer fabric paint on the soles. . . In a design (eg, stripes, circles, dots, etc). Helps cut down on how slippery they would be.

I made them and I love them, thank you so much for sharing! The pattern is super easy and I finished one slipper in about 2 hours. Thank you for the advice on how to fit them to my foot, it was very helpful! However, I followed the pattern (using a 6.5 hook because I don't have a 6, but I did use the same size yarn) and they were uncomfortably tight on my size 8 feet (when the pattern says it will fit size 7-9). I recommend adding one row for each half-size up from 7.5 for a comfortable fit. For my final slippers, I did 13 rows in the beginning instead of 12 rows. They are still snug and I wouldn't have minded adding one more row, but they are not uncomfortable.

I have to tell you I’ve looked for a thick shoe pattern for awhile now. I’m a beginner crocheter and many patterns are difficult and they don’t explain the stitches very well. I followed your instructions had no problem, I had to add extra but I still understood everything you were telling us to do. They came out perfect the first time. No pulling apart 50 times . There thick, comfy and look like a shoe. I love, love, love this pattern . My family will too! I even stitched more on my cuff as I like it to cover my ankles. Thanks so much for this tutorial, I have just subscribed to you as I can’t wait to see what else you do. 😁👍🏻

I can't imagine why anyone would give this video a thumbs down. I like your videos because you have the number and name of the stitch clearly written on the screen and you stay long enough on any stitch to be able to see how to do it. If I ever want to try something new, I go to your channel to see if you have a video on it before I start searching the internet. Thanks for all you do! PS - I don't think anyone should be allowed to give a thumbs down without an explanation. I usually give an explanation in the comments section when I don't like something...like the music is too loud, or the instructions aren't clear, etc, but I never give a thumbs down unless I feel like the video title has misled me into clicking on a video.

A major bonus is being able to adapt patterns to fit just about anyone... 😁 Thank you so much!♥️

@@StephanieZed thank you all. For your prayers for him. I sat down with my kid's. We are not doing Christmas this year. Were giving my nieces family Christmas instead. They have had so much tuff times this year. My Tia my nieces mom also had her 3rd open heart surgery. They have 3 kids. They range from 17, 13, the 2 year old. So I feel they deserve this. The other day tillio was sitting down singing karaoke with his mom that came for Thanksgiving and his birthday. So I bought hin a guitar for him for Christmas. I'm excited to do Christmas for them. My youngest is 15 next month 3 out of 4 wil gave there birthdays. So next month they will get gifts from myself then. I also do for my kids all year round. Becouse of my health issues. My joes do so much for me. My kids aren't kids anymore except my youngest that will be 16. January 14th. My other 3 kiss are 22, almost 21, and almost 19. So proud that they agreed to basically do our Christmas next month. Sorry for the long comment. I can't wait to finish the slippers. I had to stop in the middle of them becouse 3 orders of hats needed to get dont by saturday. Finishes them 5 mins before they were leaving back home out of town. Talk about no time to spair. I hope you had a blessed thanksgiving with your loved ones. May you have happy holidays and many blessing to come for the next years to come. God bless you all

@@francissophia thank you so much for your kind comment. This year's been hard on his whole family. But the love they have for the whole family only made them even stronger. To see my niece fight so hard for her husband just shows how much she lives him. They have been together ever since they were teens. She sat by him never leaving his bedside when he was in the coma on lifesuport for over 30 days. Made me so proud of her strength and love for him. He's doing ok. His treatments are tweaking him but having his wife/nurse he's in good care with her taking care of him. I just thank you for your prayers and kind comment. It means allot to our family.

These are absolutely the most beautiful and comfortable slippers I've ever had. I've made two already and more to come. Thanks for the time you took in providing these instructions. One question for the community : Has anyone come up with an idea of how to make them skid-free? I have hardwood floors.
