FAQs??
-How many squares do I need for a baby blanket?
This can vary, it really can be however big or small you like, but i generally do 4x4 or 5x5.
This blog post might be useful: bit.ly/1UIobie
-How many chains shall I do for a *single/double/etc' blanket?
Again, this can vary. I would suggest that you do your chain and lay it down agains the bed you are wanting it for. It should be the same width. You should then ad a few more to make it a little wider.
This blog post might be useful: bit.ly/1UIobie
-How much yarn do I need?
Unfortunately, I will not be able to answer individuals questions about how much yarn you would used do to multiple factors affecting it. Such as, your tension, the size of hook and the yarn being used.
-What equipment do you use?
Camera: amzn.to/2jkNDl2
Tripod: amzn.to/2w4ReK8
Ring Light: amzn.to/2w4vrC7

I'm just starting learn and I can get the circle down but it just curves up so I do end up with a circle but then it turns into a bowl lol

You might not be counting your stitches correctly. Or your tension is off. I hope that helps.

Have you tried going up a hook size to see if that helps? You can also try blocking your circle by pinning it out into shape as this should help it lay flat 😊

I started crocheting 2 days ago having never even touched a hook before that. Using your videos I have now got double and treble crochets down (having my work checked at a local wool shop just to make sure I'd done it right), and will be trying the flat circle at some point this weekend. You explain things in this video so I find them very easy to understand, even to the point that I can say what your next instruction was going to be, before you did! ☺️ So thank you and please keep posting videos (more beginner projects would be good, I want to make one of those folded down top baskets using a flat circle base, and square, but don't know what to do with the sides - hope you can help). X

@@bellacococrochet i’m going to ask a stupid question and I probably should go back to school but here goes. For the rounds that end with 36 and so forth, should that last double crochet that is done in the round be alone? Should I just be ending the round with one double crochet in the stitch? Sometimes I think I get thrown off by stitch placement at the end of the round.

This was going to fast for me, and I had a hard time seeing which hole you went though. It's probably because I'm too much of a beginner, and hopefully I can revisit this video later when I have learned to crochet more. Would have loved to see more repetitions and not the "pause the video and do the rest".

I would like to thank you for your detailed and easy to follow instructions. I had been making round crocheted pot holders but wasn't counting and just eyeballing the work. Counting makes so much more sense and creates a much more uniform flat pot holder. Thank you very much....you are an excellent teacher!

I so appreciate the "explanation" you give as to the increase stitches... I find explanations lacking in so many videos... It is important to understand the "why" of the process. It helps tremendously... Thank you for your teaching style and your generosity...

Thanks this is one I needed to watch. I always end up with a bowl maybe I will have a flat circle. Thank you. Do you have on turning chains. I have so much trouble knowing where to put my hook at the end of sc So I stay away from a lot of projects for that reason. And my friends also asked me to ask you because we all have the same problems. Thanks again Now I can make that basket I saw

I put a marker in the last stitch of a turning chain (can use a safety pin or bobby pin too). Then when I come around, i know which one to put the crochet hook into. I remove the marker, do the turning chain and put the marker in the new top stitch.
