What I really like about your site is that you get really close to the work so you can really see where you’re supposed to putting the hook. I’m a beginner and sometimes the patterns or so confusing because I can’t see where they’re actually putting the hook. So I think you very much for that hugs

Tip...don’t count the chain 3...it helps to hide the gap that joins the circle. I always do the slip stitch at the top of the chain 3 + a DC then I count from there. It works for me.

Believe it or not, I actually do it that way sometimes but the approach I took in the video has sentimental value so I wanted to showcase it. I appreciate it though! :)

Can this fit for any size head? Lol I have locs buy would love to make for others too so I'm just wondering if it matters really
@AtreyuCrochet3 жыл бұрын
You can control the size by the number of rows that you crochet. Also, if the opening is too large for the person’s head, you can add a row or two of single crochet stitches.
@purppineapple43534 жыл бұрын
I know this is an old video but I just got finished making one of these. I had to say, I've been trying for years to get a loc cap right. Found you and BAM! Got it! But question, I want it to fit a lil bit tighter. How do I do a second row of decreasing?
@AtreyuCrochet4 жыл бұрын
I’m happy that the video helped and that you’re almost finished making yours. To answer your question, you can just do another round of decreases the way you did the first one. The number of stitches will be different for that second round because you decreased in the previous round but just follow the same decrease pattern that’s in the first round of decreases. If that makes the opening too small, then you can replace that second round of decreases with a round of single crochet because that also makes the opening smaller. I hope that helps! Let me know how it goes! 🙂
@purppineapple43534 жыл бұрын
@@AtreyuCrochet I made one the way you did and I love it! Now I'm going to make another with the 2nd row of decreasing to see if I like it better. If not, I saw you other video where you made a draw string for a stretched out tam. Btw, you are great teacher.
@AtreyuCrochet4 жыл бұрын
Okay, that sounds like a plan. And yes, that drawstring is clutch, especially for tams that stretch out over time. Btw, thanks for the kind words! I’m happy to hear that my style of teaching is resonant 🙂
