Crystal , I followed this tutorial in 2014 and made a blanket that was the last time I chrochet anything until I came upon you again not long ago and now I'm hooked , bought more yarn than I have space... still learning just wanted to say thank you ! This is still on my bed.

Many thanks for the excellent tutorial. I have now watched it again very slowly, making notes all the way, Hoping I can repeat the square without having to watch the turorial again, just following my notes. Much appreciated!

Hello! Finding this tutorial completely blessed me! i have a friend who is almost 96 years old and she crocheted in her younger years. She showed me an Afghan she made with this pattern but could not find it written down. I told her I would still learn it somehow. So I was thrilled when I found that you had shared it! Now I can make the same blanket... just like I told her I would! Be blessed and keep creating!

It’s me again this is beautiful. So far of yours that I can remember I’ve made a turkey, leaves, 2 wallets, on my second purse and 8 cups still waiting on my heirloom to make the gypsy rose and I bought some of that moe hair to make the cardigan you talked about...I know I tend to babble and drool lol. I hope you read these it would be so cool.

This is a great tutorial! My grandma wanted me to repair a crocheted blanket her mother (my great-grandmother!) had made with something very similar to this pattern, so this was the perfect way to be able to redo some of the falling apart squares! :) I kind of want to make my own rose blanket now, though....

Hi Crystal, from some of the comments I can see this tutorial is pretty old. Not sure you'll see this but I have a question. That last round of dc, I'm wondering how many there is supposed to be because mine has a bit of a wave. My total dc count is 84. I love your tutorials, you make it so easy to follow. I've been crocheting for, well off and on for 50 years. Long time lol. I just finished the top Emmy is wearing in the oranges. It was easy and I used the exact # of chs, sts, etc but the finished product is, well I could fit 2 of me in it. I was taking it apart when my creative juices wanted an out so I started on these granny squares. Sorry about the book;I hope you never stop teaching. I love hearing your kids in the background. Happy stitching to you from a yarn addict.

I just did this! So happy with it. It was my first granny square. Thank you for the tutorial. Do you have a written pattern?? I am going to have to do a few of them before I remember all of the steps, and now that I have gone through the video once I feel like I could move faster just reading from a pattern.
