Hi, what another fab tutorial, I am dyslexic and find reading patterns hard but listening to you and watching your videos is great, you always make them so clear to understand and to watch, so thank you so much for what you do and all your time spent doing them

I was wondering what type of border to add on my ripple blanket, never even thought of doing a straight edge, this is fab, thank you 🤗 x
@bellacococrochet4 жыл бұрын
Adding a straight edge is great as it means you can then add any border you want 😊 I always think a puff edge looks nice on a ripple blanket.

This is what I was looking for to finish off my chevron blanket. I know yours is a ripple but I should be able to figure it out. (I would like to have seen how you did the straight edge! )

Would the fill-in stitches be the same for a blanket with a larger point from using (U.S.) dc3tog (twice) for the valley and 3 dc in two chains for the peak?

wonderful tutorial Sarah Jayne..but can u plz plz tell me what to do with sides of this blanket..after straighting the edging I dont know where to go and how many stitches should I do when turning to side of the blanket..plz reply
@beesandyarn8 жыл бұрын
Mahnoor Khan Perhaps her Leaping stripes pattern will help - there she sort of explains how to work on the raw edge. I know it's not exactly the same but just work it around the same idea. It it's ruffling - you've got too many stitches, if it's not laying flat, you have too few. Hope that helps!

This is one of the best ever tutorial for ripple stitch... Thanks for teaching very patiently ! Do you have matching hat for this pattern?
@WahdaMae5 жыл бұрын
Working on this now.... I am finding I have to add some stitches since my ripple seems to have more stitches than yours. ? My row has 2 on the end, then 5 (US) double crochets, then the peak or valley stitches.
@WahdaMae5 жыл бұрын
Hmm.... It also isn't straight.. I still have a dipped down edge, just not as prominate... ??

Do you have a written pattern for the straight edge on a ripple?

When finishing the bottom edge (Original Foundation Chain) is she pulling-up, entering ONE or TWO strands of the stitch? I had a hard time seeing. Thanks anyone?
@bellacococrochet2 жыл бұрын
I'm working through one loop but this will depend on how you have chosen to work into the original chain when starting the pattern; if you have started by working through the back bump of the chain you will have two loops to work into when you come to work the border instead 😊

If you work in the back bump of your chain when you start your blanket it will look nicer when you do your trim…

I did a multiple of 14 + 4 for my blanket. Chain 3, DC in same chain, then worked * 5 DC in next 5 chains. 3dctog, 5 DC, 3 DC in same st, 5 DC * and repeat I need help with straight border please
@bellacococrochet2 жыл бұрын
To straighten the edges you will just need to adjust the number of stitches you make slightly to what is shown in the video; I would slip stitch in the top of the chain 3, double crochet (single crochet in the US) in the next stitch, make three half trebles (half doubles in the US), three trebles (doubles in the US), and then work your way back up to the peak 😊
