It was lovely to see you with Gayna, I've been binge watching her backlist, so I feel like I've been spending a lot of time with her family recently. What a shame you couldn't go to Bristol and Bath on adjacent days. I love Bath, a favourite place we haven't visited for ages. Good luck to Lillia for her auditions. Dan was very funny. Re-watching Ali episodes for the comfort they provide. Just learned that my friend had a stroke today. We were scheduled to attend the Rose City Yarn Crawl in Portland this weekend. I’m worried and sad and need an Ali Fix. Grateful. ❤️

I certainly keep all digital patterns in a computer file but I work off paper copies. If it’s a pattern I think I will knit again, I keep the printed version in a binder. When I am knitting from a paper copy I keep it in a plastic sleeve and use Washi tape to mark where I am, and a notebook on my table to make notes about the project.

This was so lovely Ali ! I was confused at first because you had already showed us your trip to Bath, but this was all the lovely bits in between ❤ I have made a few pairs of the shortie cotton socks and yes they do stretch so need to make them smaller, I also knit through the back loop near the heel when decreasing. It’s very exciting, but tiring for you Lilia’s auditions, you ere just up the road from me in Bristol, a stones throw away from Gayna! Mia knows all the best places to sit, the cushion had your lap top on and that would of been toasty warm 🐈 Hope you feel better soon I have had the head thingy too ent on for weeks hope your’s doesn’t. I think that if you had your colors done, you would be a winter. Light skin, light eyes, high contrast between your hair and skin shades, and a cool undertone. That would mean cool colors would suit you better (referring to your nails). That's also why you look good in black and don't gravitate toward browns. And given your love of winter, I bet you embrace that idea! 😊

Happy early birthday to your daughter. My oldest (only daughter) just turned 19 yesterday. Funny thing happened this weekend. I tagged a crochet friend in the comments of a testing call on Instagram. It was for a mosaic crochet square. I am very new to crochet and have really only made baskets and a single crochet granny square. Anyway, my tag put me in the testing pool. I decided to give it a go and try my hand at my very first mosaic crochet square. I had to fog back a few times, but I made the entire square. Feeling like I accomplished something. Hope you have had a lovely weekend.

I have not printed more than 10 in the past 5 years! Usually I have it on my phone but keep a small notebook with the project for tracking row and pattern counts.

I’ve not been doing much knitting and I’ve come to realise why. I’m spending a lot of time watching knitting vlogs lol. I love watching you all, as the only knitter in my village it’s lovely being among you lol. It has its drawbacks though, I have discovered hand dyed yarns , knitting bags and a host of other goodies that come up lol, and I love it. Hope your ear will be ok. I have a binder for socks and one for shawls. I think I should just get rid of them as it's so much easier to find them on Ravelry than to search though actual printouts. I've never looked at them other than to put in another pattern and I just put them in without any thought to alphabetical, weight of yarn or any way to sort through! Thanks for sharing your week. Loved seeing Bristol and Bath as I used to live near!

I just spent time organizing three binders filled with printed patterns. While I read on my Kindle (large print), I cannot use digital patterns. I take notes directly on the printed patterns. Tossed the patterns I won't make again, but kept the ones i would like to make again. I always enjoy your vlogs.

I’m 100% with you on the nails. I also have weak/thin nails and it was always just another item on the list of things that fuelled my inner critic. They didn’t exactly bother me, but I never felt good about them either. Now I regularly have my nails ‘done’ I feel so much better about them. First of all, they’re actually healthier as I’m not picking or biting them, and secondly they just make me feel good. Yes, they’re only nails, but every time I see them it adds something to my ‘positive thoughts’ list, rather than my ‘negative thoughts’ list ☺️

I have loads of printed patterns all sorted into categories and in folders! I prefer a printout that I can write on if necessary! Reading may feel dissed by not being declared a city, but since it doesn’t get them anything except being able to say “we’re a city” I don’t think it matters.
