I'm so new to crochet, but how would I go about connecting them so I can stuff them? And make like a 3d hand?

I'm a beginner; however, I've seen advanced crocheters make 2 of same pattern; then with wrong sides together, either stitch (needle and yarn);or sc from 1 side palm to other side palm (do not close wrist yet). Fill with stuffing, making sure it gets into fingertips - then continue closing at wrist.
