Mine must be too tight of stitches, it curls. Maybe I need to chain 3 instead of two chains. I really like this. I will try again. I want to make one for my BFF as a key chain. Thanks for sharing.

Just tried this pattern, how do you keep the toe pads from “ruffling?” I even went down a half size on my hook. The pads don’t lay flat.

You can probably start with the round with the chain method instead. I would think it would give you the same look. I would just work that first chain in a smaller hook so that there's no holes.
