Just so you know, using Bernat Blanket yarn and a 10mm hook with the yarn under technique to tighten up the stitches a bit (so maybe 9mm hook with looser stitches) this makes a bag about 30cm wide and tall ^-^

Can it be done with 5 mm crochet hook? How many stitches should I start with?

@@meryem1833 If you're using Bernat Blanket yarn you should be using at least a 6.5mm hook because of the size of the yarn. Just follow the pattern as normal, no need to adjust stitch counts.

I started with 18 chains instead of 19 so I didn’t have the extra chain after the 16 and I started over, but then I realized I did the same thing again and I ended up frogging it 4 times before I got it right😅
