Let's All Crochet Hi there, sorry, I don’t know your name, but you are allowed to sleep occasionally as long as you get back on the hook soon as you wake up!😂😂😂 I am now putting the half double crochet around my vest. It doesn’t look as nice as yours, I’m wondering if I should go back around it when I’m done and put a single crochet in the top of the double crochets? Not sure how that would look but it just isn’t as smooth as yours. Unless you have a better idea that I should go around it with a different stitch maybe. Then I will be ready for the fringe and when that parts done I will send you a picture. It’s 9:05 PM here, so I’ll probably be turning in in an hour or so. Good night talk to you tomorrow.

@@barbd9887 sorry I should have said im aki😁 LMAO you're hilarious and the only breaks I take are to shop for yarn online 🤣🤣 I'm sure it looks better than mine we are very quick to critique are own work and admire others 😁 So you will have to try to see what works best..i usually just make a small patch and compare and see how it looks..you can make some single crochets and see if you like the way they look! You can also go with a completely different stitch what do you have in mind? Any border stitch will work I can help you choose I enjoy it 😁I went with hdc cause it's fast and easy! I can't wait to see the vest and I hope you have a good night!

Let's All Crochet Hi Aki, I will do like you said and try single crochet and a few others just to see what they look like. But I’m attaching a picture, if I can do this right, To show you what the border looks like and if you have any suggestions let me know. You are such a sweet lady and I really am enjoying communicating with each other. It’s almost 100° here today so hot and humid. Probably coming from the hurricane that is working its way up through the golf of Mexico. I always look forward to the fall weather when it’s nice and cool, but still not freezing. I've got everything finished and I am now ready to sew the pockets on. I noticed that one pocket goes with the pattern, but the other pocket goes against the pattern. Is this how it is supposed to go or did I not do something right?

The pocket does go against the pattern because the shawl is made in one piece..you can use a simple double crochet or any stitch for both pockets if you want it to look similar 😊

Let's All Crochet it’s the Berroco Ultra Alpaca yarn I think it’s a worsted weight super fine. My friend ordered it and wanted me to make her a pocket shawl out of it.
