I love to watch Mama Llama Kayla as well, and it doesn't matter what she gets into, I just enjoy "hanging out" with her because I like her as a person and admire her creative side. And it's the same with you and your channel. So what ever you do or don't do is the way it's supposed to be. It's funny because I was crocheting quite a bit until I had a lot of arthritis pain in my hands, so now I'm diamond painting and watching others crochet, diamond paint, color, etc. It really doesn't matter to me what it is, I just like art and imagination and creating. It's wonderful that you are connecting so closely with your girls through art.

Hi Julie, great to see you again! Your sunflower coaster is so cute and your bear is totally adorable! I think you have to do what you love. What ever makes you happy whether it's coloring, crocheting, diamond painting as long as it makes you happy. Nothing silly about talking about coloring, I love to color also. Take all the family time you need, family is the most important thing. My library has the Whimsical Stitches book but it's out right now and I'm just waiting for it to get back in.

I love to color! ❤ and tell you the truth. I buy kids coloring books and adult coloring books. Enjoy your girls they are only this age once. My girls are in their 30s. And I still love my time with them. We will miss you but will be here when you get back ❤

@@ksmomcrochets one thing my girls and I did coloring was what we called make believe coloring. Trees are normally green we would color them purple. Dog would be colored blue. We had fun with this also. Enjoy your new hobby.

I totally understand what you're saying. I remember when they were little, it was like having twins with them being so close in age. Hi Julie, I was super excited when I saw you had a video out. I lost my crojo too, and haven't done a video for quite some time. I am hoping to record something in the next couple of days. I love to colour and have a collection of different books and pens, pencils. I have tried diamond painting but have two unfinished ones sitting in my closet that have been there for about 3-5 years. I do like to paper craft, making cards, journals and albums, I also enjoy stamping and then colouring them with either alcohol inks or water colours. I sometimes sew and have been keen to get my machine out for a while to make something. I am finishing up your package and should have that in the post to you soon. My son has been on vacation from university so has come to visit for a week, I hadn't seen him for seven months so have been really enjoyed spending time with him and my other boys also.

I have adult coloring books too! It’s so relaxing. I love to use gel pens too. I went through some depression too and coloring and crochet helped so much!! I usually color on planes because I hate flying, but have to if I want to vacation in fun places.✈️⛱️🏝️

Glad you are back. It is hard to watch the kids grow up, but the next phase of motherhood will be great as well. I knit, crochet, cross stitch, sew felted ornaments, and spin yarn. I do have a diamond painting kit, but I feel intimidated by all of the pieces. I don’t color because I would be stressed out about what colors to use and it is supposed to be relaxing. LOL

I can't say I ever really enjoyed colouring so I haven't coloured since my kids were young - I know quite a few people who do enjoy it and it reduces stress for them. Kameliya Angelkova and Creative Haven are cheap coloring books on Amazon with super cute pictures depending on what you like. Even Walmart, Dollar General, and Dollar Tree have coloring books 🤗

As for coloring books .. 😂 I have a drawer of them along with crayons and coloring pencils. I dont break them out as much as i used to bec i tend to use crochet now to relieve my stress or lift the spirit. Thank you Caroline! I have seen devotional type ones, but I didn't know they made things like that. Super cool! I got one that has verses and things around it to color. I definitely don't like the super detailed coloring, that is too overwhelming for me. There's a lot of talented artists that just make more simplified pictures that are a lot of fun to color. Kaitlyn was so super excited to pass her test, I am so proud of her. Thank you for sharing that about your kids too, I really needed to hear that. I love your channel as you are so easy to listen to, and funny. Coloring is my absolutely fav hobby and my Instagram is only for Coloring as it is a lovely community. I have knit since I was 4 and crocheted since 2013. (I also like puzzles and a bit of Diamond painting.) I usually alternate between coloring and crocheting so I never really lose interest in either. If I do, I will do a puzzle for a few nights and then back. I find coloring super relaxing, crocheting needs more concentration. I don’t knit a lot anymore unless it is a dishcloth cause it relaxes me so much it knocks me out cold 🤣🤣🤣 That is why I took up crochet and coloring. Have fun!!! Happy summer! 😎🥰😎

I am having a really hard time doing anything else, but if that's my only problem at the moment then I'll take it 😂 I definitely can see it being a permanent hobby and I'm loving finding books that I like! I tried knitting in the past and only learned the knit stitch I think it's called. It was fun and they do make the best washclothes! I prefer crochet just because I don't have the patience to learn to knit faster 😂 I am like that with KZbin tutorials. Omg happy to see you again! Girl adult coloring is DEFINITELY A THING! lol The coloring community is small but strong. I've been into it heavy since 2021. Back in the day adult coloring used to be zendoodly pages which didn't interest me much. But things have definitely changed we have soooooo many options now, the possibilities are endless. I will warn you that buying art supplies is addicting and will make your wallet cry lol. As for you feeling depressed about your last summer with your daughter. I can relate. My son left the country for school last year and when I tell you it hit hard... The only word I have to describe the feeling is grief. And as silly as it sounds coloring helped me kinda quiet the voices and calm my anxiety during that time so I highly recommend it. Enjoy the time with your babies.

I have found a lot of things that I just need now due to all the wonderful KZbinrs who share their stuff lol I have totally already fallen hard down that rabbit hole. I have made 5 things from the Whimsical stitches book and I am getting the physical book from Cassandra. Love Lauren Espy patterns. I will probably make most of those items in the book, but I do not enjoy jellyfish or octopus patterns. I made five macarons and sent them to Kayla’s son Dakota, the bakery chef.

Before I got into crochet I was into adult coloring! I loved using gel pens! I know how you feel! I was so sad and depressed when my daughter moved out last Summer! And I still miss her with an ache that's really really deep!! My daughter turns 23 tomorrow! But to me she is still that tiny baby that quit crying as soon as they laid her in my arms or the little girl with so much energy that she ran everywhere. Now she'll have a baby of her own in just a few months!!
