Im totally left handed but have never needed a left handed tutorial, I just watch and do the same thing only backwards as a Left handed person does with everything else, I also use a right handed fishing pole but hold it upside down, same thing for a potato peeler and scissors, it's just a way of life. I am extremely creative so maybe not everyone can do this but, I at least can use the Right handed videos just fine.

Hi Christa! You sound very busy! I know the feeling. I’m glad you found a chef! Her food sounds delicious! I love to cook so I’d like someone to come in and clean up after I cook lol! But as busy as we are we tend to eat out a lot! Too much. We’ve been really trying to cut down. But since it’s just the 2 of us sometimes it’s just easier. As a mom of 4 I can relate to all you do! I love your afghan! Beautiful work! And your market bag is coming along nicely! Be well!

Your granny square afghan is amazing! I'd be sooooo proud of it as a 2nd completed crochet blanket, so it's very kind of you to give it away! Love the shrug you're wearing, which looks very cosy & comfy! I'm interested to see how the bag turns out. I'll be interested to watch the tutorial, especially of how to attach the lining as that's the bit that I'm least skilled at. Fun checking out the grocery store in Nairobi..... thanks for taking me shopping with you, which was a special treat as I've been housebound for years! Blessings from Oz 🌸

Yay!!!!...you have a chef!! lol I have one too...my Hubby! hahaha How lucky am I?? Seriously, he is like a master chef! He too, can take basically nothing and make a wonderful meal! I Love it! I too am spoiled and I love it! Could you please put a link for Kavita's page? I can't find it. Thx! Funniest thing came to mind while watching you drive around and stop, slow and avoid pot holes....how hilarious would a high speed chase (like you see on cop shows) be in Nairobi? hahaha Cars would probably be flying in the air. I've just binge watched all your videos Christa, and I love them. My names Amanda,I'm 52,and I live in Scunthorpe, England. I've 2 grown up kids, and son of 27,and a daughter of 23. Oh ,and a stepson of 28. I gave up knitting 2 yrs ago, after a baby pompom blanket, that took me to the edge of losing my sanity, was noted in a photo by the stepson's partner, as being in the dog bed. 😠It was less than a month old and should have been a keepsake for the 1st granddaughter. So,I taught myself to use a computer and then learn to crochet. I love it. It's my happy time.I then came across KZbin and podcasts.I nursed all my working life,but retired due to health problems. I love seeing your clips of Kenya . It's so green and clean, andwhen you go to the supermarket, it seems so sleepy. The supermarket puts ours to shame. For a question, would you be ok to talk about how you became involved in the orphanage? ,And, what is the adoption process is in Africa? . Africa,doesn't seem so unapproachable or underdeveloped, well going by the clips I've seen that you've made not as much as I thought, or is it?. I love your drives, and trips. . My next project is going to be your Shawl CAL pattern,I can't remember the name but I love it . I shall be using the Scheepjes Whirl in Pistachio, oh so nice. I look forward to your next podcast, and a big thank you for doing them ,love Amanda. xx😊💞 just want to say ,we have a little dog to ,called Delilah, and she's 5. She went blind at 6months, due to hydrocephalus, or fluid on the brain. She's a fabulous little dog , who gets around fantastically. She's had 5 anaesthetics, before she was 2, and she is the love of our life.She may lead a normal life ,we were told ,so we have our fingers crossed xx😊💞

Awe! Thank you so much, Amanda leahy! It is SO nice to meet you! I would have LOST my ever loving MIND if a blanket I made was given to a dog! How absolutely insensitive, appalling, and RUDE! You must be so much more gracious than I am. ;) I try to only speak about positive things, so avoid referring to Furls wooden crochet hooks, and orphanages in Kenya! ha ha ha! Suffice to say I have irreconcilable differences with both! lol You doggie sounds ADORABLE! We just got a little puppy a few weeks ago - she's so sweet. Dogs are great!! Big big hugs! xx

Hi Friend! I was missing you. So I was so glad to see you! You are one busy lady. Congratulations on the chef. Did you find other house help? The phone holder will make it more safe! Love that blanket! Will make one. What kind of yarn did you use? What yarn is your shrug made of and what color is it? Is there an apple store in your mall? There’s on in The Louvre, so I figure there should be one there. Have you been back to the school close to your house, yet? I’m curious to see what happens with that. Has your temperature gone back to normal? It’s hot and humid from all the rain we are having. I like the granny square bag so far. Will you put a boarder on the strap? I’m working on my scraptastic blanket and I’m liking it so far. I loved being out and about in Nairobi. Kenyan coffee sounds great! Happy Days y’all 💕 bernadette
@SecretYarnery6 жыл бұрын
Hi, Bernadette!! Yes - I found a houselady. She is lovely so far! I used regular acrylic for the blanket (all I had back then!). The shrug is made with a polar eyelash. It's a weird mix of colors... "Orchid". Like that tells you anything! lol Yes we have Apple stores, but I don' think there is one at Two Rivers. I haven't been back to the school, but the lady who took us on the tour is now a crocheter! RIIIIIGHT?? No joke! It's freezing here these days. Soup is on the menu for sure! xx

Hi, ZELDA!!! Wassup??? I TOTALLY made that shrug. Have to make another and film it. On my (endless) list of things to do! The gates you see are usually around my neighborhood - the whole this is gated off, and then it is gated off into sections. Pretty much for robberies - so a truck of hot merch can't just drive off and disappear! How's you?? xx

I'm right-handed, but started to teach myself how to crochet with my left hand. I wanted to try to understand what the difference is. I don't know if I got the understanding I was looking for, but it was interesting. I'll probably practice left-handed crochet again, sometime when I'm ready to deal with the frustration.
