I also had a lot of trouble getting through 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle because of the sections that are really fatphobic. It gets better, but I struggled the entire time I was reading those sections. My partner and I buddy read it and thankfully, he warned me in advance since he was ahead of me at that point, but even with warning I wasn't fully prepared.
