I've been crocheting for over 60 years and socks have always been on my "to do" list. I've just completed one sock with your method and have found your tutorial so easy to follow. Previous attempts with other patterns have been very frustrating but your method is very clear, concise and easy to follow. I like the way that you take your time and explain every step along the way. I have written down your instructions as I've worked so that I can keep the pattern on file rather than having to come back to KZbin all the time. There will be many pairs of socks coming off my hook from now on :-) Thank you!

At Last !! You reassured me on my listening comprehension of the English language, though, being French, I don't master this a lot. Apart from the hook of technical terms, I don't understand the video in American, fortunately gestures are often very explicit.... So, your video is very clear and very well designed. I achieved appropriate socks my little size, an adjusted form to my ankle and my calf, so that they hold well on my leg !! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge !! Greetings, Leelou from France (It's a google translation, I hope it's faithful to my opinion..... ;) !!)

I am visually impaired and if you are new at crocheting or using dark colors, I suggest using stitch marks. Stitch markers have saved me a lot of time. I really like the way you show where you are inserting the hook and giving you time to find it on your sock. Will be watching more of your crochet tutorials. I am so glad I found you LOL.

Great instructions how to crochet socks! It was my first attempt to crochet socks and I've tried a Dutch pattern at first, but it was so complicated I gave up and searched on KZbin for instructions. After translating the terminology (my goodness a difference between U.K. & USA terms....) I was able to follow your clear and practical pattern. Thank you so much in behalf of my mother who will be very happy with her warm winter socks made of wool and alpaca! Many greetings Nicole.

Thanks so much for making this detailed tutorial! I love the pieces of advice and reminders when it comes to those tricky stiches. I've given up on projects because I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. Also love the pace you go at, which makes it easy to follow along. The only thing I changed from this pattern was when it comes to doing the top of the sock, I alternated front and back post crochet, and then did that for 2 rows. I just like the look of a thicker band, and I think doing a front and back post pattern makes the top more stretchy, and stays on the leg better. I'm loving the look of my sock #1, even if it did take me 2 days to finish.

Similar to another commenter, I have also been looking for a nice crocheted sock pattern. This looks adaptable enough to work for my feet as well as for the rest of my family. I've knitted socks before but was usually disappointed in the fit, since they were worked from the top down and by the time I figured out that they were going to be the wrong size, I'd be ripping out several rows. I've always been more comfortable with crochet, so I'm anxious to start this pattern. Thanks for the post and look forward to the printed pattern when you make it available.

I’m a relatively new crocheter and from the comments I’ve seen that socks are one of the hardest things to do. My attempt at 1 was a little off but otherwise a great job. My only this is I would like to say it’s hard where you’re positioning your sock when you start to crochet. Maybe have the camera out more when you’re flipping and turning it and closer when you’re actually crocheting. I appreciate your video and hope to try again soon!
