Just right to add to a doll's blanket. I've just finished putting a dc border on one. Was wondering what to do next and up popped your tutorial. What a lucky coincidence! Thankyou, Bella!

Hi, I love this stitch. For the last stitch I slip stitched into the top of the half double crochet then went around the post 2x (5 loops on the hook) & turned the hook downward & went into the bottom of the half double crochet. The result was the last stitch looks exactly like all the others.

Thank you! Your videos are very helpful, the camera angle is on point and the explanations help so much. Videos without explanations drive me crazy! Your nails are the best--I learned how to crochet from one of your videos a couple of weeks ago. As I watch other videos made by other people I literally think about "remember that video of the girl with the great nails?" glad I stumbled across your channel again. Ty!

For that last stitch i did another hdc into the very first hdc and slip stitched to the top of it. It looks pretty much the just like the other puffs. In case anyone wants to try that. I love this border on my new blanket..just hot off my hook. Thanks for the tutorial!

Like your videos very much. I haven't crocheted in years. I would consider myself just barely an intermediate skill level. I recently bought some clearance yarn in 2 colors that I thought might do. What a mistake! In my very first row in noticed a tendency ro split. Immediately, I decided to dial back my plans and make a simple scarf in dbl crochet and am looking for an edging that will show off the contrasting colors. I think I will tuck this stitch away for future reference and try the crab stitch instead (also your video).

Love this!!!! Can you do multiple rows of this border instead of just one row??? If so, can you leave instructions on how to do it????
@bellacococrochet5 жыл бұрын
I've not tried this but I think you could if you made another round of trebles in between the puff edging rows - you would need to treble into each puff stitch and also in between each one to make up for the skipped stitches 🙂

Bella, I was thinking of using this border for my C2C blanket. I followed your C2C Video and it was perfect! What are your thoughts on if this border would look good as my blanket border? Also, I was thinking of making the border colors exactly as the color rows of the blanket (Each color consists of 4 rows). Would that be too difficult with this border?
@bellacococrochet2 жыл бұрын
I'm glad you found my C2C tutorial helpful! You could absolutely use this border for a C2C but I would recommend working a round of double crochet stitches first to give you a base. I've only worked one round of this border but you should be able to work multiple rounds with the puffs stacked on top of each other 😊

Was there a reason why you started the border in the middle of your sample
@bellacococrochet3 жыл бұрын
There was no particular reason other than that’s where I wanted to start it 😊 You can start the border in one of the corners if you prefer.

Could a row of single crochet go over the top of this puff stitch ?
@evelinwaters10586 жыл бұрын
Love it but I found its better if you add a chain between the puff stitches. The tension is for me too tight without it especially on big projects
