I haven't tried doing a sampler with UK pattern stitches before but it's not like learning hexadecimal so in the interests of wanting to make the cluster look nice as yours...reckon best try. That really is a nice style or design. Good idea on the headband for the tater tots. Make a little flower for it perhaps. You do know tater tots is before the couch potatoes....😁

A lovely stitch thanks Alison. I often use your stitch patterns for the ‘skirt’ part of crocheted cardigans for my granddaughter. The yoke is dc, so a pretty stitch on the skirt lifts the whole thing! Keep them coming x

Alison says: "make sure your chain is not too tight" - - depending on the stretch of my yarn, I will do my chain by upsizing my hook between 1 to 3 times. If my fabric is an "H8", I'll chain with an I9, a J10 or K10.5 (trial by swatch).

I did that (according to directions) making my first cardigan, but never thought to keep doing it. I find that my chain curls when I get a few rows, not always, but now I know why. Thanks Alison!
