Crochet Shark Tutorial - Day 10 of the 12-Day Crochet Christmas Challenge

Welcome to day 10 of the 12-Day Crochet Christmas Challenge! In today's video we will be crocheting a shark! This pattern can be made in all different sizes and are perfect for gifting or stuffing in stockings. Since it is close to Christmas, this pattern is quick, easy, and no-sew!
The Crochet Christmas Challenge is a 12 day event. It started December 1st and goes to December 12th. Each day, I will release a free tutorial here on KZbin and a free pattern over on Instagram. The only rule for this challenge is to crochet each pattern the day it releases. If you are late on the days, just go back and catch up. If you want to skip a pattern, go ahead! Pattern! R1 6sc in mr R2 6inc (12) R3 2inc, 3sc, 4inc, 3sc (18) R4 sc, 2inc, 6sc, 4inc, 5sc (24) R5-7 24sc (3 rounds) R8 3sc (tail:ch6, skip first 1 ch, slst, ch4, skip 1 ch slst, 2sc, slst in the same st as previous slst. Slst in the final ch), slst in previous sc of this round (this will turn the tail and make it sit vertically) sc3, ch2, sc in second ch, 3sc Fin: ch4, skip 1ch, slst, sc, hdc), sc3, ch3, sc in second ch (24) Sc in next st, and Fo, leaving a short tail. Top fin: go into the top of the shark with a slip knot, sc, ch2 sc in second ch, sc, ch and FO. Pull both your yarn tails through to the other side and tie them together. Put in safety eyes/sew in eyes. Take white yarn, put a slip knot on your hook R9 BLO dec, 2sc x6 (18) R10 dec, sc x6 (12) take the colour change tails and tie them together. Stuff the shark. R11 6dec (6) slst and FO and close the hole AND THE SHARK IS DONE 😁🦈‼️🫶🏾 LMK IF I MESSED ANYTHING UP

ahhh, I'm so lost on the last part for the tail

Hi! The last step is to make the tail sit vertically. You need to slip stitch in the previous single crochet so the tail turns. (Otherwise, the tail will sit horizontally like a whale) You can skip this step instead and sew it vertically after you finish the shark. I hope that helps! 🫶💕🥰

One thing i have to say, its very quick, and its not very beginner friendly, i would say go slower and SHOW how to do the stitch instead of just saying what to do and doing it :)
