I love these shorts! The tutorial was so easy to follow and the end result fit exactly as I wanted. Because this pattern is based on measurements, it still works even if your yarn/hook are different sizes. My 29 year old daughter thinks they’re too young for me (63), but I don’t agree! I’m looking forward to trying other patterns from your channel.

I really love this pattern. I'm making it for my granddaughter who is a senior in high school. Thanks for the written instructions. I tried to make it but I think I was to tried to keep up so I will write down the instructions which will make it easier on me. At 78 some time its hard to keep up. I started one but saw this and I liked it better soi started a ribbed waistband didn't bother to pull it out so icontinued the short stitches on the ribbed band and is now working on it I like what I see! Iplanned to make the legs a little longer as I am a matured person. To get the string around the waist I am going to put the posts at the top of the ribbing and hope it looks good.if not i won't bother. I love and enjoyed your tutorial.Thank you so much.! I'm struggling with the math part. I chained 204. When I followed your equation, I ended up with 42.5. That obviously doesn't work. I did 204-34=170. 170/2=85. 85/2=42.5. Sooo...idk what to do now? ETA: My mistake! I didn't even realize your final number was a decimal as well and you accounted for it. I figured it out. My apologies. Math vexes me sometimes. XD

do you only add an extra stitch is it is a decimal? for example ( 134 chains - 34 = 100 /2 =50 / 2 = 25 ) would i add a stitch to make it 26 so it is an even number?

So my stitch count was 170 instead of 160 so the number I got after all the equations was 34 but you got 31.5 so 31 + an extra stitch. I was wondering if I’m supposed to do 34 on the front and back or am I supposed to do 34 on the back and 33 on the front? Hope this made sense 11:04

No you don’t need to if you get a balanced number of stitches both at the front and back just make 68 st both for the front and back

the yarn is labeled as a 4, but that specific yarn has a satin feel. if you used a different type of yarn that might be why it ended up looking different. i’ve found that different materials can make a huge difference

VISUALLY IMPAIRED (NOT YELLING AT YOU) I AM A BIT CONFUSED. I AM MAKING A SMALLER SIZE FOR MY DAUGHTER WHO IS PETITE SO I ONLY CHAINED 100 THEN I SUBTRACTED 32 LIKE YOU SAID WHICH LEFT 68 THEN I DIVIDED THAT BY 2 WHICH MADE A TOTAL OF 34 AND THIS IS WHERE THE CONFUSION COMES IN. AM I TO THEN DIVIDE THE 34 TO MAKE 17 STITCHES IN THE FRONT RIGHT THEN 17 MORE STITCHES FOR THE FRONT LEFT???

Ich habe Probleme mit dem Muster, meine 1.Runde DC sind exakt 160 DC, dann beginne ich mit 32 DC, dann kommt das Design, dann kommen 62 DC und danach habe ich leider 34 DC anstatt die angegeben 31...was mache ich bloß falsch? Bitte um Hilfe...Liebe Grüße

Just so everybody knows I love the shorts I love the mask but the yarn is a nightmare I actually thought this was a one strand so I looked it up everywhere they didn’t sell it in United States so I ordered it from Etsy think it was some special stretch yarn I spent $200 on a whole bunch of it it does not really stretch like it seems and it’s made out of a whole bunch a little thin strands and they constantly come apart when you’re trying to hook them on it’s cheap acrylic yarn That’s definitely not worth the money so everybody just look out for this yarn do not buy it whatever you do get a different type of yarn

The yarn worked well for me the only issue I had with it was the fuzziness that’s all other than that I think it’s a pretty decent yarn to try out Alternatively 24/7 cotton yarn would be a good substitute and a better quality to consider
