Ty Crystal for explaining this stitch so thoroughly for us. That is one of the things I love about your tutorials is you replicate crocheting for dummies for those of us who can't quite grasp what to do and where and how to put different stitches. You explain everything beautifully. Tyfs God bless you

I've always loved this stitch. Just pulled out my 6 skeins of Red Heart ❤️ Super Saver Ombre yarn name is Hot Sauce 🔥 482 yards. I just started a new blanket doing this stitch...I love the way the colors just melt into the next. This will be a Christmas present for someone who loves "hot sauce". Happy crocheting and creating to all!

I have to say and I’ve said it before all the years I’ve crocheted and Crystal has given me the confidence to not only continue to create many projects but teach others to crochet. I’ve made and sold beautiful ponchos and beanies, blankets and cardigans. I wouldn’t have had the confidence without Crystal and BagODay . I appreciate you Crystal. This all began because I needed to distract my severe chronic pain.

I’ve crocheted many of these “stars” in 🇺🇸 patriotic colors for boys & men, especially veterans 🇺🇸

I really like how you explain stitches, you make stitches very easy to learn. I watched a star stitch previously and it made it seem a lot harder than it is You made it so simple. I sometimes play some of your different stitch tutorials during my projects as refreshers as well. I highly recommend anyone wanting to learn to go to your tutorials, you are a great teacher. I'm here today doing a king size heirloom blanket for my brother and his new wife and I am topping it off with some stars so they can "sleep under the stars" and including some shells and other stitches that tell a story for them. I especially like how you showed the edges to keep them straight as that had been an issue in the past and for this blanket it came out perfectly straight. Thank you so much for your tips and tricks even for those who have done this before there can always be something here and there to still learn.

If you were able to start your 1st grandson's baby blanket (by the way, Congratulations!), would you mind telling me what weight of yarn and hook size you used? Were you happy with it? My concern is that the blanket will be very stiff and thick and maybe not bend. Would appreciate any feedback you can provide. Thank you so much and again, congratulations! It will be the best time of your life. Nothing like it.

Were you able to start your first grandson's baby blanket? Congratulations! If you don't mind sharing, would you be able to tell me how many chains you started with for a baby blanket, the finished size, and how many skeins of yarn I would need in order to make that size? Also, I am just a little concerned that the blanket will be stiff and not bend. Did you find that happened? Again, congratulations! This will be the best time of your life!

@@bjohnsen6569 I made it big lol. I bought 3 Caron big cakes 10.5 oz/300g (love love this yarn get to work with), I recounted started 180 chain. I used 2 1/2 out of the 3 big cakes. Thus is my 1st blank so I hope this helped if not let me what else you want to know. I will say keeping your edges straight was so hard, for me. I had to take it apart half way through and start over. My edges are not straight at all so I'm adding a single stitch boarder on the sides to match top and bottom to hide how wonky my edges are. This is my 1st blanket I can do single, double, half double stich and a drop stich. Very comfortable this was my 1st with this stitch. I will use it again just got to really watch tension with your stitches. My baby blanket is beautiful and big.

@@bjohnsen6569 it's is so soft the Caron yarn is the nicest, softest and easiest to work with yarn. My blanket is not stiff at all. Turned out beautiful just a little big but sawyer can use it for many yrs.

Learning a new pattern or maybe a new tip. Sometimes just reminding us of a stitch we know but hadn't used for a long time. Now to pick a yarn I want to use. I will be making a large sample of this with all the information I need on it and add to my visual book I am making for myself. Including stitch name and who taught it to me. Stay safe out there.
