//FAQs??
-How many squares do I need for a baby blanket?
This can vary, it really can be however big or small you like, but i generally do 4x4 or 5x5.
This blog post might be useful: bit.ly/1UIobie
-How many chains shall I do for a *single/double/etc' blanket?
Again, this can vary. I would suggest that you do your chain and lay it down agains the bed you are wanting it for. It should be the same width. You should then ad a few more to make it a little wider.
This blog post might be useful: bit.ly/1UIobie
-How much yarn do I need?
Unfortunately, I will be able to answer individuals questions about how much yarn you would used do to multiple factors affecting it. Such as, your tension, the size of hook and the yarn being used.

I love your video, so well explained. But I have a question? What if I have to change colour between one round to the next?
@bellacococrochet
@bellacococrochet 5 ай бұрын
Thank you! 😊 To change colour you can pull through the new yarn as you’re making the final part of your last stitch before the colour change, and either cut the yarn not in use or carry it along ready to pick back up again
@dinornis
@dinornis 2 жыл бұрын
Do you find this gives you a reverse diagonal seam (especially on the wrong side)? I seem to be able to pick up most crochet stitches without issues, but the invisible slip stitch is apparently my nemesis 😭
@bellacococrochet
@bellacococrochet 2 жыл бұрын
This will leave a seam on the inside of the work which is why it's great for amigurumi projects. It is definitely a tricky one to pick up as you are essentially working the stitch back to front, but keep practising and you will get there 😊
@Sethrocksalot
@Sethrocksalot Жыл бұрын
Do you have a video showing how to do this at the end? When you're ready to cut the yarn to change colors and/or bind off the work?
@bellacococrochet
@bellacococrochet 11 ай бұрын
Once you’re ready to bind off you can snip the end of your yarn, leaving a long tail, and sew in your end securely as you normally would. To change colours I would recommend pulling through the new colour when making the final part of the last stitch with the old colour 😊

Such a great tip! Does this technique work for other stitches like hdc or dc (US terms)? Would you just need to also chain after the invisible join?
@bellacococrochet
@bellacococrochet 7 ай бұрын
Thank you 😊 This technique works best for projects done in the round such as amigurumi, which normally use single crochet stitches. You could try using it with other stitches however, you would just need to pull your loop up slightly higher when working your first stitch after the join. There’s no need to chain as you are pulling up the loop instead.

Why don't you hold the hook above the yarn tail as you come through from the back ? I notice you go above it and then rotate so hook is then in front , whereas if the yarn tail is under the hook as you come front the back the hook is already in front and there is no yarn bump ?
