Thanks for the tip with the acrylic frame, I have immediately ordered some for my music sheets. Also I have ordered the organizer. As for the hook number, I add as many stitch markers at the bottom as the number is, e.g. 4 markers for hook number 4. For 1/2 I add a metal marker, you can also use a safety pin.

@@celticknotcrochet Thank you. I have another tip, maybe it is actually not one because everone does so. When I undo a larger piece and reuse the yarn, I do not unravel and make a yarn ball. I work directly from the already crocheted piece avoiding tangling the yarn and saving time. Unless you have a gradient yarn and want a specific order of color.

😂 Anything to help find “stuff,” I mean organize and pick up where one left off. Part of the fun of crochet is when you get bored with a big project, you can set it down for awhile - so you can do another crochet project with more immediate gratification. I especially like the metal circle helping with saving pieces (or squares, etc.) where one can also add the hook size with the tag system you have suggested. Not having good light can sometimes cause you to forgo a project - not realizing the reason you were having so much trouble was because you couldn’t see the individual stitches. And yes, this applies more when one gets older. And, finally, having an easier way to follow specific rows’ and stitches with the plastic sheets will probably help many to actually take up more complicated, challenging and more rewarding projects. So thank you!

Jen, I just found your channel and subscribed. I thought I had seen all the hacks possible, but nope, didn’t. The dry marker is great! But I have to get sheet protectors first… also, I am legally blind since I was 17… am now 80… ick, can’t believe that number.. lol.. sooo the marker would be great.. I have a tendency to try to conserve printer ink, but the lg print pattern would be nice, even though I mostly look at my patterns zoomed on my iPad,… they are easier for me to find in a digital zoom list…sometimes…I also use a 10x magnifier to read a printout, but since the viewer is only about 2 inch diameter, I first have to locate WHWRW I want to magnify. But I recently had to give up quilting, and have made crochet my first love for the past 10 years. My family is inundated with crochet blankets!🤣 I have been photographing my projects with the hook for list in my notes on my phone my real problem is remembering what STITCH and whose version of it I am using. I am a very tactile crocheter. Which is actual an advantage when conversing or watching TV. Now that can be a real nightmare! Thank you for the hacks, they’re great!

Yes, some great ideas I hadn't heard or thought of before! For years I have used sheet protectors to put printed out patterns in while working on a project, but never in all that time did I have the smart idea you shared of using a wipe-off marker to mark where I am on the pattern!! My favorite idea here is a tie between the acrylic photo frame and the key tags for noting hook size when you put a project down - it is a nightmare to have to try to figure out what hook size you were using when you get back to a project you have been on hiatus from! Then I have a tie for my runner-up favorites - lol. The jewelry/makeup roll-up bag for keeping hooks & tools in, & the dental floss thing which I didn't even know there was such a thing and I bet that also even helps keeping the yarn from untwisting as you are trying to thread it through the eye of the needle (I can usually thread it but often at the cost of untwisting it which is irritating). Thanks for the video!

I use index cards as a way to see each line. I paperclip it to the edge of the pattern (in sheet protector) to hide what is below, so I can easily read the line I'm on. Then scoot the card down to the next line. It also helps keep track of where you are if you need to put the pattern aside to work on something else.
