So. After three days of working, I have just sewn in the last tail. Kelly, I can't tell you of how much I love your pattern, nor of how much I've appreciated having your company from start to finish. I've made my daughter's sweater in small, using James C Brett marble chunky (colour MC8) with a 6mm hook. I've taken mine to just below the hip and used the seam (by accident, as I got distracted!) from your Granny Sweater/Granny Tee pattern of which I've made both; twice each thus far. I chose not to undo it as this alternate seam looks cracking too, at least in the yarn I've used. I also swtiched to a 5.5mm hook after one round of the sleeve, which I used for a further ten rounds and then switched down to a 5mm hook which I stayed with until the ribbing was complete; just because I wanted a gradual step-down in a little shaping as my daughter is so skinny! The finished garment looks absolutely stunning and I'm about to dive into my yarn stash to see what I have in order to fulfil another garment using this pattern. Once again, and from the bottom of my heart, thank you for your time and your energy. For info: Anyone wishing to indulge in the yarn I used, for the size small, I used approx three and a half balls. Three balls will suffice if you take yours to the length, inclusive of ribbing, where Kelly chose to stop hers in this video tutorial.

Its just personal preference. I'm so used to doing it with regular granny squares as it avoids a wonky square! It also keeps the join in unison. If you was to work on the same side the join would keep moving and would leave a diagonal line across your garment, where as if you turn after each round, the join starts in the corner throughout 🥰

Can't wait to start this pattern! You are so delightful and informative!! Is there any reason you prefer a chain 3 to start each round with a new color instead of a floating double crochet?

Thank you. It's just personal preference, you can use whichever you wish. 🙂

Hi sorry to sound thick but which size would be needed for a ladies 8/10 As it’s gonna be a gift I don’t wanna go and confront her with a tape measure 😜👍

Ha ha well it does depend in the bust measurement which would be an awkward conversation 😆 I'm an 8 to 10 and always make a size small but then I don't have much bust either! I'm not sure if that's much help for you! 😆

@@CraftandaCuppa ha ha that great thanks. She’s not blessed in the bust area either so I gonna give it a go xx 👍

You are way too far away from the camera and we cannot see anything that you were doing
@CraftandaCuppa2 жыл бұрын
As the garment is so big its too hard to get everything in the shot, that's why the camera is placed at that distance and also why I describe everything in detail. 🙂

I can clearly see everything

It's all very visible and detailed for me.

I could perfectly see everything. And I like how everything fitted in the shot, otherwise it would have been difficult to understand due to the shape of the garment. 💜
