Yes you can! I think Crochet with Claire (bobwilson123) has a V neck Raglan Cardigan that you could use as a guide with the granny stitches.

Thank you so much for your help 😊 In the end I decided to do the sweater because I like yours so much! I think I'm going to make the armhole a bit deeper though because I like a slightly wider sleeve. So I have to rip some. I'm so delighted with this pattern 😍 Beautiful work 😍 ❤

I want to make one with worsted weight yarn. Will it change anything, since it’s not a light weight yarn
@crochetcakes3 ай бұрын
It would make the garment larger. You could start with the same stitch count and try it on as you go to make sure you are liking the fit. It may also affect drape a little bit depending on the fiber of your worsted weight yarn

How do I find for different sizes xx
@crochetcakes2 ай бұрын
@@yvonnemccutcheon2667 I only created this one size, I explain more about it in the blog post (found in the description box). The Given neckline is 8 flat without rib (16" circumference) if using the hook size and yarns mentioned in the video/blog post. If this neck size works for you, but you need a wider garment, work more rounds before separating for the sleeves.

Hello I love this I'm making now. Question I'm catching hell with the extended stitch it keep coming out looking like 2 stitches so I just ch3 is that ok
@crochetcakes Жыл бұрын
yes the standing single crochet indeed looks like two single crochets one on top of the other, but using a ch3 is not a problem at all, just remember that it counts as a stitch. What colors are you making yours?

Hi, I used a total of 405 g of yarn to make my sweater. Unfortunately I don't have the quantities for each color. In the blog post you will find each of the colors used.

How would I up size the neckline for men’s sizing
@crochetcakes Жыл бұрын
you could go up a hook size with worsted weight yarn and keep the same stitch count. I believe in the blog post linked I state that for the granny stitch you go up in multiples of 3. Crochet with Claire also has an easy raglan sweater tutorial with a couple of neckband sizes given :D.

The first row, does the shoulders , back and front have the same number of stitches?❤
@crochetcakes Жыл бұрын
Yes, your first granny stitch row divides the top for shoulders, front and back. Your front and back should have the same number of stitches, and your shoulders should also have the same number of stitches.

This is super cute! How can I make it smaller to fit a 10 year old?? TIA 😊
@crochetcakes2 жыл бұрын
I would measure a sweater she already owns, neckline, chest, length, armhole depth. And make as many stitches as needed for the neckline. Work in raglan until you reach the armhole depth.

Hi! Great tutorial. However my jumper is sticking out a lot at the back and always does when I make a jumper. What should I do to fix this? Is this normal? Thanks
@crochetcakes Жыл бұрын
does it lay flat on the front and pucker up at the back? or does it drag to the back?
@elise-willis0444 Жыл бұрын
@@crochetcakes the front lays flat and looks like a normal jumper, but when I turn to the side I can see thy the back is sticking out a lot, like most of the fabric is gathering at the back. Please note though I haven’t fully finished and haven’t added the ribbing. Would adding this get rid of that? And washing it, would washing it flatten it out? It is sticking out very much
@crochetcakes Жыл бұрын
@@elise-willis0444 Hi Elise, one more question. Did you crochet short rows? If so adding the ribbing will definitely take care of that puckering. The short rows raise the neckline in the back but they do add more fabric. Working the ribbing with a smaller hook helps to tie it all together.
@elise-willis0444 Жыл бұрын
@@crochetcakes sorry but I’m not sure what you mean by short rows
